outstanding phone, hardware, software, performance, battery life, camera all excellent. BUT glass VERY brittle, after 2 months normal use (no drops) back broke, cosmetic ony, another month miniscule crack in front, top half screen now unresponsive, phone unusable. warranty will not cover, charging 250+ to repair. great phone if you buy good protector (such a shame to put compact, attractive phone in ugly case though).

Sarah, 13 May 2015Suggestion please?? Either Z2 or Z3 compact?? Hello , use them. The Z3c better battery life , camera, not so hot , more comfortable, better WiFi reception , better overall performance , Z2 best screen size, nothing more.

I owned the phone since November /14 no complaints other than the sim card flap never sealed closed. I thought since I bought the phone directly from Sony Canada and had a warranty I would have it repaired. The moment I became involved with Sony Support Canada my Xperia life has been Hell. Unbelievable incompetence. Hours spent on the phone where they make statements like: "We have no record of ever receiving the phone for repair" We have no record of your Email address " ( even though they sent me the RMA number to that address) " We have no record of your RMA # " Well you sent me the RMA number to my E-mail address.Hours spent on the phone with support where one is basically chasing one's tail.
This is a minor summary of the confusion they create either intentionally or I prefer to think it is just a broken system. I could describe further ineptitudes but the capper is they contacted me after a month of not having a phone, and said the seal would not be covered under warranty and I would have to pay for the repair. The contacted me when all the time they said they had no reference to me. The final crap here is they want me to pay for the repair and shipping regarding a little rubber flap covering the SIM card slot that would not close. If one does a search on this phone and SIM card flap seal or on the Sony support forum, you will find others with the same problem. Sony support in other countries seem to honour the warranty regarding this defect but not Sony Canada. Stay away from Sony sold in Canada. Wish they would just give me the $600 back.Stay away from Sony

Stop with this negativity... Also about the screen cracking... Magical "self cracking"... We get it... We are informed... We understand... And don't give a damn... IT'S GREAT PHONE WE LOVE IT. Now go do something else... Stop bit*#*w here... Like seriously just leave and never return... Again..... I'm serious.... I'm Not kidding... Just... Leave

Ugly design and heavy weight, Camera ain't that Good - lots of noise, the UI is boring and also seems ugly even with lollipop, my friend got one and after a few days it's speaker stopped working and required a knocking on it's back to make the speaker work again.... so... no way I'll be purchasing this overpriced poop.

I just recently bought this phone after a long debate of what I wanted to get. I have absolutely no regrets. This is the best phone I've ever had.
Please get phones for yourselves before you read and judge them by a single review. According to GSMArena, the ZR (my old phone) has better contrast than the Z3C, and that's simply not true. The colors are more vibrant, whites brighter, and blacks deeper. It is simply better in every way you can imagine.
This phone is perfect for me. Plain and simple. No self-cracking, or and nonsense I hear 0.05% of buyers talking about.
