Anonymous, 22 Apr 2015everyone focus ur attention on this troll.to all the real z... moreI have had the phone for 6 months and have experienced the exact same issue. I've sent it for repair one where all Sony did was do a software reset thinking that it would work again but about 4 weeks later the power was still turning off all by itself.
It's now in repair for the second time around and I'm guessing that they won't do anything to fix it...

There are site's like replacebase that sell the glass back for cheap. And there is also a video on how to replace the glass on YouTube. I wouldn't know where to start searching in India but I would imagine it would be just as easy to locate a place where you are that sells the back cover.

I have purchased from them in the past and the items seemed to be damaged or not last very long. I could write a full article on eBay and problems they have. I always buy from sites like amazon and sell on eBay. More than likely the person you brought from had damaged the phone and then sold it to you. The crack could of started very small but as cracking does it got bigger and then was noticed by you. Was the phone sold as new or used?

If the Walkman has stopped working then have a loom at the update centre located among your apps to see if the Walkman is due an update. If not you may have to go on the settings menu and performance a reset of your phone settings.
If you wish to hide photos and videos or to keep them discreet on your phone a sime way is to download some file explorer from the Playstore. Once you download a video or picture, simply create a folder using the file explorer and store them there. To prevent the files displaying on your Albums, simply rename the files you download to change file type. E.g. If a video file is named ".MP4", change the file type to something random like ".dfg and the "Album" will not pick it up. If you wish to view the files, just click on the file via file explorer and it will promt you to select what app to open the file with. Once selected, you should be able to view you files as normal and then close it without further complications.

I have played about with both phones but recently purchased the Z3 compact. To my suprise the phone is better than I anticipated. There isn't a huge difference in terms of specs and performance but the size is the main difference. The Z3 compact fits perfectly in the hand and simple for one hand navigation. It also has the PS4 remote play ability and I feel the waterproof seals are better on the Z3 compact. Although the Z3 compact has a 720p screen resolution the picture quality is almost identical to the Z3. The speed and performance is capable of taking on most flagship phones on the market at the moment but the battery life on the Z3 compact comes second to none. It took me 3 days to drain the battery after its first full charge and I use my phone a lot, especially for Internet.

i didnt drop it anywhere!!i know its hard to believe that the screen cracked on its own.. i used to play heavy games on my phone like asphalt and mostwanted and i doubt that heat generated by playing for long made the back glass to crack..i just doubt but i dont remember playing game for like 5hrs before i found the crack .i now have another doubt whether my phone is a already cracked but repaired by the seller and sold it to me...i purchased it from ebay india!!iam not happy carrying a phone which has a cracked glass at the back !! everyone sees it

What do you mean by " hide your videos and pictures ".

Downloaded a third party app.
Rooted your phone.
Updated software yourself (not through Sony).
Phones are like computers if any software or apps are conflicting the phone will shutdown to not cause damage. This happens to lots of different phones not just one brand.
