If anyone says benchmarks don't count then why does everyone use them. If you want to say about real performance just pick one up and use it, who knows you might just like it.

Anyone notice the benchmark results since the new 5.0.2 update. I got 47620 on Antutu only had 45k on kitkat my wife's s5 only gets 43k on lollipop. My iPhone 5s gets 40k. On 3d mark I'm getting a score of 20168 this is a better result than kitkat also on 19k. Even geekbench has now gone up on multiple core from 27k to 2830 single core 990. Yes all you trolls the phone has a smaller screen and is cheaper than a lot of your overpriced phones but yet it's knocking out these scores for nearly half the price as top end smartphone. All Sony has proven is that a phone manufacturer can build a quality phone that can do everything you can throw at it for a decent price. The only thing haters keep banging on about is the 720 display. If the phone had a 1080 display it would be a complete overkill a bit like what the LG g3 has done with its own display and as we all know struggles with lag and battery consumption even putting it's previous G2 ahead on performance. The 720 display saves on battery consumption and with a snapdragon 801 plus 2gig ram don't suffer from any performance issues. This is a bloody good phone and I urge anyone to try to find any other phone presides another Sony to match it's performance and spec's for the price.

It is the only smartphone i have used that records 4K over 5 minutes,,when I had it i got about 29 minutes before running out of memory and it was barely even warm.
I sold it because photos were not to good but everything else was. Battery on stamina mode where a little + sign is next to battery gave me just under 2 days use whereas my Galaxy S2 would have finished about 5-6pm same day.
If this device has had a camera update since December 2014 then i think I will get another one. I had white but would like the green one but it was a Carphone exclusive at the time. I was going to try iPhone 6 again but I know when I get one I will be just bored of it after 2 days even tho it is stress free to use. As i always say i champion phone sized phones and hate these gigantic phone hence why i never went to Nexus 6.

and i do have a iphone 5c and was tired of charging it frequently.i love my 1.5 day battery of z3c.

Hi, I have bought my sony Z3 compact, and yes, in first perspective, it seemed to be amazing!, the photos taken are anwome, and quite impressive battery life. But don´t know what happend, after six mounth using it, one night I was watching youtube and Puff.. the system jammed and sudden death. It woke up minutes later after I press the power button and since then, it started to have issues, like OS jamming, or sudden death.. or permanente sleep... I think it might be some software issues, or hardware in the worst case... but I have performed factory reset, master reset but non of them worked, it still shuts down on its own. I wonder how can sony place them on the Market with thease crapy issues... Well my recomandation for this cellphone is.. STAY AWAY.. very disapointed since it has a high cost for a malfunctional mobile.

There is lots of reasons why these idiots do it. The main reason I usually come across is they have another phone that is indestructible usually apple product (no fanboy haters please I do own an iPhone 5s myself) but somehow the Sony z3 screen detonated in their hands. it actually makes me laugh now on how many people believe these KIDS that make out buying an android phone especially Sony is dangerous and unreliable. I have even read a comment where somebody claimed they had broke the phone three times, each time from 2 foot high. Either the guy is a complete d!!knead or this is a kid again. I'm glad I didn't listen to these children and purchased a phone I'm completely satisfied with.

It's just someone that either again wants Sony to look bad (a troll) or someone that owns a z1 compact. New technology is always going to be slightly better. What others are trying to say is it may be better to look at the Z1 compact instead of the z3 compact due to price. There is not that much difference in look screen size. The best selling point of the z3 compact is the battery life. That's why I purchased the Z3 compact.

bottomline-i request all of you to give credit to sony for packing everything in a compact flagship.forget the iphone.z3c is am engineering marvel.if you other companies cant create a beauty as z3c,you have as well no right to hamper the sales of a perfect phone by spreading false rumors.

But the battery is going down as fast as before. I wondering if it's not just the first few percentages though. I'm going to check that this week just to be sure. I sure miss some of the shortcut introduced in this new version (air-plane mode, close all Apps, unlock the phone, etc...). Feels like we are going back in time with less functionality...
A tip for those who might consider doing a factory reset: be sure to backup all you stuff ;). The content of the SD card will not be affected by the reset (unless it's encrypted, in that case you will loose the encryption key, and therefore all the content of your SD card).
