Given I have a power brick with 4 phone charges capacity, the chance that the Z1 will leave me without power when the Z3 won't is very remote indeed. On the other hand the Z1 has a micro SIM, the Z3 has a nano SIM, and all my other equipment is micro SIM which means moving things around is much easier with the Z1. If you want to switch between iPhone and Z3, you might want a Z3.

Mal, 17 Apr 2015I installed Lollipop and I must admit it was a bit a stupid... moreAlready updated, and it happened the same thing. After a factory reset, the battery draining stopped and everything went to normal. I miss the "close all" app button, though.Ah, and the Sony phone case is very cool... until you use NFC with it.So, use the case, without the NFC part! (back to draining battery again :) )

[deleted post]To be quite honest there isn't a lot of difference between the z1 compact and the z3 compact in performance. I think my personal choice was based on the z3 compact being newer technology and slightly better battery. I was always going to go for a compact model because I don't like carrying big 5inch + phones in my pockets.

If you love having the best display the G3 is the phone to beat but if you want a phone that doesn't lag with one of the best batteries in a smartphone and has the better performance the z3 compact is the phone to own. I would go for what suits you. I went for z3 compact because It's the most powerful compact phone around.

Many claim they have seen and experienced it the rest of the world knows otherwise. Does you windows just break on there own? We have not invented self exploding glass yet.

I installed Lollipop and I must admit it was a bit a stupid Idea.
The lock screen pattern hidden when you want to unlock is a pain in the ass. The battery goes down much faster too for no fucking reasons. They also remove a few shortcuts that were pretty handy. But it's not Sony's fault, it's just the new Android version (for the battery draining faster I'm not quite sure...)
Some of the apps I had removed (Vine, Twitter) where reinstalled by the update. I also had to disable some useless Sony apps again, and there are some you can't do anything about.
I wish we had a Cyanogen support for this phone.
If you are happy with Kitkat and donc need anything from the new version, don't do the stupid move I did.
About the self cracking issue, once again, it's a myth. The phone is good, but there are some issues about the software(s) in my opinion.

I have owned many Sony phones but with this Z3C I feel more proud, a life enhancing experience
This is probably the best phone that Sony has made. Happy ownership!

It proved to be a good investment as my kid got a hold of the phone and dropped it on the kitchen tiled floor. Thankfully no problems with the phone.

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2015How do you even?Look it was clearly an error do to the fact that i have kids and a nagging wife. I'm not stupid although the phone is trying to make it seem that way. You should see some of the text messages I have sent in the past. I am not aliterate just got big fingers. At least I have found another problem in owning a compact phone.

addy, 16 Apr 2015i have tested in night mode.. not sure if its the same duri... moreUsing the camera in night mode is a lot worse on my z3c. I'm not one to take pictures in the dark. If it's any consolation my iPhone 5s front facing camera is very similar in the dark an I consider the iPhone 5s still to have an edge when it comes to the camera. Seems very natural compared to most mobile phone cameras which tend to be over saturated with colours. The closet mobile camera I've seen that seems to compare to the z3c is my wife's Samsung galaxy s5 although I consider her phone to have the better screen, I don't really rate lcd screens compared to amoled display. Although Sony has not done a bad job with the Xperia z lines. If you feel that the camera isn't as it should be you should have it checked just to give you a peice of mind. For anyone that thinks I was trying to say my wife's Samsung galaxy s5 is better I'm not. Even with the amoled display it is not as good as my z3c in my opinion. The z3c runs a lot smoother and seems to be faster in opening apps and is easier to hold and carry in the pocket. That's why she choice Samsung an I went for Sony.
