Actually this is the first time I heard about this phone, based on the specs looks like this is a great smartphone!! I`m really curious regarding purchasing this phone

AnonD-517073, 11 May 2016Is itavailable anywhere online? I can't find it on any site Vivo and Oppo prefers offline sales channel. As such visit nearby Vivo store if there is any.

Mi max has just been released this afternoon, any idea regarding which phone should I choose? Say if I were to compare apple to apple, in this case mi 4gb ram version and v3 4gb ram. Also if I were to buy mi max in Msia how long more should I wait??

XLR8R, 10 May 2016I'm only surprised that they released a phone at this price... moreAnother important item missing from V3Max spec sheet is the IR blaster. With Android apps like Peel, my half as expensive Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also behaves as an universal remote control when required. I have found this feature very handy and useful.

Regarding Oppo F1 Plus, the less said the better. It was gifted and the experience with this highly overpriced phone is very bad. Decided to gift it to my sister.

AnonD-521036, 10 May 2016Everything changing.Look at together (millions year ago), h... moreThat change occurs over millions of years. If modern science (think 20th century) saw human hearing as being in the range of 20Hz - 20kHz, then 100 years would have advanced that by a few Hertz at most and a kilohertz to stretch the sanity of the mind. So, you're looking at 21Khz or 19Hz....let's add an error margin of 1-2 kHz and the best genetic freak human cannot go beyond what's offered by 24-bit/96kHz today. :)

This is really beautiful smart phone. I m very happy to bought this phone. Both camera results is awesome. Its performance is faster than faster. Only weak point his bettery. Not to bad. But it can be better. And one thing is its charge too fast.
                      No heating issue at all.
One of the best features of this phone is fingerprint scanner and its work remarkable.
I love this phone. Good job

XLR8R, 10 May 2016LOL, do you realise that Shannon's theorem in Information S... moreNow-a-days people are crazy about numbers, the higher the better. Look at AnTuTu scores or high res 64-bit, 256 kHz audio. Very few are even aware of their real world advantages.

We are humans and GOD has given us the audio frequency range of 20Hz~20kHz to listen to. We can get all that in a 16-bit, 44.1kHz recording. Ok I get the point that frequency ranges just below and above this range may have some indirect effect in human perceived range, so give it a benefit of doubt by increasing the range to 48kHz. This should be more than enough. Now we double this range to 96kHz. This should suffice even the craziest audiophile nuts out there who wants to transplant elephant ears to hear more. But as it seems, we are NEVER happy, are we? :)

funwithash, 10 May 2016Vivo and oppo are getting momentum in mobile market and if ... moreMicromax, still at top - hardly any phone gets any Android update (select models and Android One aside).

Lava, Xolo, Karbonn - rinse and repeat.

Panasonic - managed to capture 3% market share in 2.5 years - introducing about 4-5 models in every quarter - ZERO OS upgrades for ANY phone. And well, their mobile division is apparently doing very well.

Gionee - many phones still stuck on old OS.

Do you need more examples? Shipping and selling phones is different from actually supporting them. The vast majority of Indian users are still not very aware of Android OS upgrades. As such, it will not matter to them, and all of these brands will thrive on this. It also helps, as not upgrading the OS will lead to planned obsolescence - as we can already see apps require KitKat at a minimum, and these brands are releasing phones in 2016 with Android Lollipop 5.0 and 5.1.....

AnonD-521036, 09 May 2016Yes, Now: Viva Vivo for 32-bit 192khz.plz go to 64-bit 256khz.LOL, do you realise that Shannon's theorem in Information Science PROVES that 48KHz will hold more information than what the human ear is capable of hearing? Even though there are myths out there about the purported advantages of 96kHz audio, the fact is that the old-style vinyl "hums" could very well be from extra frequencies, and 96KHz covers this very well. Meaning, in practical sense, a guy never needs more than 24-bit/96 kHz, and even that is pushing the limits. Everything beyond this is, well, for audio, just a gimmick, though extra bits (such as 32-bit) provide a bigger buffer for software tweaks, DSPs and equalisers to do their thing.

XLR8R, 09 May 2016What makes you think that Oppo and Vivo (and Gionee) aren't... moreVivo and oppo are getting momentum in mobile market and if they want to stay or improve their sales they have to bring updates OK in past they were fail to bring updates but in future as they entered in indian market where one billion mobile users say 1/4 of them are smart phone users with maximum 3years life of smart phone it's almost 9crore smart phones to be sold every year and numbers will increase as smart phone adoption rate is also growing most of them will be midranger they can't ignore updates other wise they will be dethroned

A lot of these manufacturers are just getting their phones built from off-the-shelf parts in ODM factories. Now, Xiaomi (for example) may not offer the OS upgrades, they may have an ODM product, but Vivo and Oppo are not known for OS upgrades either. So, the bigger question is - when the hardware is the same, and the situation with updates is the same, why are these brands costing more than Xiaomi/LeEco/Lenovo?

funwithash, 09 May 2016Optimization with hardware smooth interface flawless perfor... moreWhy the heck should we (end consumers) care about some smartphone company which is able to coup up some discounted deals with some component manufacturers? What is the benefit for us in that?

You sound more like a Vivo representative who is busy justifying the sky high price of their phones rather than an end consumer concerned about how much he/ she is paying for the product.

What we all end consumers care about is the price at which we are having the phone. The build quality of the phone and its user experience. And on those account Lenovo/ Xiaomi/ LeEco is doing a stunning job. My Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has more or less equivalent specs of Vivo V3Max at half the price. I have used a lot of Vivo phones and I personally find Redmi Note 3 product quality and in-hand feel to be very good. Also the MIUI on Redmi Note 3 provides decent user experience just as good as Funtouch OS of Vivo.

                                        So what is your point?
