Hi guys, im planning to buy this phone but am hesitant based on the mixed comments (mostly negative) i've read here. Can i ask for your help for below questions?:
1) Your experience in using the phone (screen quality, any heating, battery on-screen time, camera quality).
2) issues currently faced? I've been reading mixed issues about the camera (gimbal and photo processing)

I got this phone one month before. Back camera having problem while taking photos of your face your eye color also changing when we asked to vivo Service Centre they replying that is future don't buy this phone guys when your looking for camera.

Yes I am sure. I had contacted Vivo global support couple of weeks back, they took the recording and the issue details, they created a case for technical support Team, that's how I solved the issue on my handset. If you haven't done it, I request you to contact them at 1800-208-4488. They would take couple of weeks time since they have to go through the logs of the recording from your phone, find the issue and mitigate them.

The touch sound and screen lock sounds on Vivo X70 PRO is working.
There was an update pushed today (15 Nov 2021) that has solved the sound issues.

The phone needs serious update as pics are getting stuck in zeiss processing while viewing photo. Clearing cache does not help.

Been using the phone for a month. Agreed that the photo quality is not consistent with colour of the image tends be a bit saturated during night outdoor, but impressive photo quality during the day.

After using for 15 days, my experience is that this phone is overhyped. Heats up easily, can't do gaming. Camera quality isn't consistent. It's more like hit and miss. Sometimes the main camera takes awesome photos but the consistency isn't there. Video is average. Photos taken in daylight is good but in potrait mode, background blur is not right most of the time. In artificial lighting condition, the photos turn out blurry sometimes. Good for daily usage, no performance issues except heating while normal gaming. Some bugs in the UI which is annoying. Other than the camera, there's nothing special in this phone. I'm now planning to sell this phone.

UPDATE: Just like others I'm facing issue of camera app getting stuck in Zeiss processing. The photo that comes after is unusable. It happened while using portrait mode. Also, the recent update has fixed few bugs and also added zeiss color mode, which is good.
By the way, the camera clarity still needs to be improved. The main sensor sometimes takes pics with average clarity. I hope vivo fixes these minor issues.

Bought the phone. Video was jerky when I panned it around when it was first out of the box but it was fixable. Had to switch off the auto-stabilising and auto follow body movement/ eye movement.
Picture taking with the camera is really good. You can see the samples on the test site here. It does accentuate lines a little darker though but otherwise very clear and very good. The 120Hz also looks amazing when using the camera.
I also played around with the camera functions like the portrait mode, the night mode, and the macro mode, all very good.
The phone build is good. The back of the phone looks so much better than the S21 which I had considered getting, shiny and sleek.
The battery is excellent. I've been playing with it every night since I get home and switching it off when I sleep. I haven't had to charge my phone yet since its first charge 8 days ago.
Somethings I didn't like about it was that it didn't come prepackaged with some useful apps that other phones may have such as the calculator or battery app.

After the last update, locking/unlocking sound and camera shutter sound is not working. No sound. But ringtone and media sound works. Factory reset didn't help. Certainly a software bug which should be reported to Vivo on social media till they fix it.
After rigorously testing the camera, I think it's all hype. Actually photos are good in daylight and low light, the sensor does capture more light and the colours appear realistic though slightly vivid for a more pleasing look. For a phone, it's good but now I realized after comparison that my S7 with just a single main camera took better photos in daylight. Low light photos are good. The video is good and improved after the last update but still expsoure detection isn't the best. To shoot better videos, make use of the pro mode.
