NJR, 18 Jun 2022My Review Model :- 8gb/256gb - meteorite gray DOB :- 29-... moreThis is so on point and well established but I need to add these notes:

- The macro is among the best out there, and to fix the colours simply use GCAM.
- The calibration fix is simple; leave it to charge beyond 100% for 5-10 mins to get the real capacity. You'll notice that it won't frop below 100% (because 100 is actually around 85, so the hidden number above 100 is the real full charge)
- The back glass is the only quality disappointment
- Miui is a must for me after years of use. I miss OneUI but the amount of features Miui offer made a Xiaomi phone a standard for me even if just a secondary.

    My Review
    Model :- 8gb/256gb - meteorite gray
    DOB :- 29-may-2022
(Previous device :- Huawei Mate 10 pro 6gb/128gb)

I got a neat package with miui 12.5 and updated to Miui 13.0.
    Pros
    1) Fast charging without any sweat.
    2) Good, big and vibrant HDR display with Dolby vision, oit door and indoor visibilities are marvelous, it's some algoritham keeping display saturation re calibrated as per ambient lighting.
    3) Harmon Kardon Speakers with Dolby Atmos. We can use Dolby Atmos for wired and wireless speakers/head phones too.
    4) Snapdragon 888 can live up to 5 years without lags. It's a capable processor of the generation.
    5) Good selfie shooter 16MP good colors.
    6) Good camera software they presented as Cinemagic. Plenty of options inside the camera for photos and video recordings.
    7) A good piece of hardware is especially well built even though design is outdated.
    8) Excellent Call quality.

    Disappointed on
    1) Proximity Sensor , what the f*** they did! too disappointed, I'm getting frustrated most of the time with calls. mainly finger print reader on side. Even though I'm turning off the display by the power button during the call my finger will reach in the finger print sensor accidentally and the phone is getting unlocked and playing other applications and dialers. During whatsapp call I'm accidentally sending messages to other contacts. We need a good software update/recall the phones and provide optical proximity sensors.
    2) Camera, the main sensor is not up to the mark. Every aspect of the mate 10 pro camera is better than Xioami 11t pro. Over-exposed colors from the main sensor. Zooming giving extremely poor pictures with pixelated, somewhat grainy. Night mode is also somewhat pixelated and grainy.
Macro camera can't reproduce colors properly. Ultra wide angle camera just ok. And there is no OIS at this price range !
    3) Battery Calibration, they clearly mentioned on their website too , it will charge up to 80% of designed capacity to attain 800 cycles of battery life. For me I'm ready to replace my battery after a long run. So I want that designed capacity of 5000mah. Asp per calculation I'm getting only 4000mah battery. It's not good. When we are pushing 10 minutes more to charge its holding 100% stat for long, it's a good sign.
    4) Heating, We cant push this phone for long play times of high demanding games and 4k videos It heats up really well, really giving awareness like something will burn inside. It's just Snapdragon things. The manufacturer failed to give an eventually heat dissipation option throughout the body.
    5) MIUI I'm new to Miui i felt somewhat sluggish and childish UI, It's for children, one who doesn't have much time to waste UI customisation really gets disappointed.
    6) Gestures for home screen Navigation are very disappointing even though it has a good touch screen it's not recognising what we are going to do especially when we re-call the home screen from any of the apps screens. Recent tabs opening are also not recognising by software, it's just giving unwanted touches most times to open any of the apps.
    7) Feels like some software glitches in networks connectivities.
    8) Notifications, notifications tones are turned off for social messenger apps from its app settings. But I'm geting call tones and messege tones.its a clear bug, they should rectify this one.

I think, Most of the disappointing factors can be overcome by some software tweaking. Maybe they will provide good updates.

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2022Hey guys, i want ask question about is the xiaomi 12t pro w... moreIt might not release, but even if it did it might be worse than this one. It will be pricier for sure.
Like mentioned below, the 10T pro had far superior camera and the battery lasted longer.
This one has some advantages, but they are not worth the upgrade and I certainly regret missing the 10T pro now.

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2022Hey guys, i want ask question about is the xiaomi 12t pro w... moreIt will be released, rumored with SD8Gen1. If you're willing to wait, go for 12T Pro. Though nobody guarantees it'll be "better" than 11T Pro overall because lots of people says 10T Pro is actually better than 11T Pro due to the fact that the xT Pro model lineup seems to only primarily focus with upgrade on the SoC and Display sector. Two things that non-gamers most likely could care less.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2022Does performance mode affect battery life long term(I mean ... moreI believe the temperature of the battery for most of the time and the way we charge our phone is what affects the battery life. Say that we could play demanding games in 90fps max graphics settings but the battery temperature chilling in 30°C, the battery surely will be just fine.

I have not pushed the performance of this phone while gaming to it's utmost limit. I've done that on one of my old phones by rooting it and bypass it's thermal protection software, some time later the battery is inflated and the drain is pretty crazy just for using it for a couple of minutes.

I'm not willing to do the same thing with this phone but you get the idea. Xiaomi surely won't be adding a feature that damages your phone, even it's Performance mode barely making any difference in gaming I must admit, it also doesn't heat up that much either when activating it.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2022Does performance mode affect battery life long term(I mean ... moreI did not notice any performance not battery drain with it on. Maybe I am not using it heavily enough to see a difference.

kaji.atul, 09 Jun 2022Dear Sir, I appreciate the arithmetic put up by you for ex... morehmm, i got this phone and i can't make exactly same claim as you do, it did hold 100% for a long time, it still does a little, but it may be dependent on the charger you use?
If you use only 120W charger the battery will be under different conditions, like i said it's the charging profile/battery management that does that to the battery indicator.

Try 120W charging few weeks and see if the % still behaves strange.
