To get for global models probably next month as earliest.
Also can confirm that night mode with secondary screen is available and other modes. Video rec. through secondary screen is nice.
MIUI 13 seems stable and fluid. Havent occured any issues (but 12.5.20CH were good too).
Minuses: xiaomi forced EIS in video mode, if you want to shut down EIS in video - only possible through Pro Video mode. Please give this option back in regular video mode.
Also another minus - with Android12, 10bit video recording is gone, the apps cant find right profile of codecs. Seems same with other MIUI13/A12 phones. Hope this gets fixed.

If you care about the telephoto lens, get the 11 Ultra, while if you want the overall better phone, get the 12 Pro (the two are in the same price range right now).

        With latest MIUI 13.0.5 CH stable update they finally fixed rear screen modes.
        Now can take portrait shots, can record video with secondary screen.

          If there was another phone I would get as an alternate to my S21 Ultra, it would be this phone. Hopefully the 12 Ultra (or Pro) will be a big upgrade.

There's limitations in terms of space to consider. It doesn't matter what your doing, using 8GB ram at any one time is virtually impossible. I run heavy tasks on an i7 quad core multi threading laptop running on 16GB ram and I rarely require half that ram. A smartphone is 6 to 7 inches screen size maximum. It's not a mainframe PC. You're not being realistic.

I would say anything over 8GB is just a show off, even 12GB in this device is too much.

                      Anyway how bad is the software how many virus and pop ups are on this phone ? Bad? it is almost perfect, best software used, no ads, no pop ups, and removing bloatware is so simple if there is something you are not comfortable with.

                      Is it possible benchmark this phone or are we blocked locked out ? already benchmarked, just do a google search. you can do it your self.

                      I don't know why the likes of you attack before reading or trying the device. that's so weird, internet Is full of the likes of you!!!!

                      there is no perfect device, but there is something called rumours that will screw other people chances of a good experience, or even bad, just the experience.

                          As you said, MIUI dialer is my personal preference. that's what I requested MI to give MIUI Dialer back.

                            i'd like to apologize for a mistake, we cannot replace google dialer with miui dialer without root or changing rom with unlocked bootloader. Nathan was correct.

                              i'd like to mention that all you said is wrong. allow me to explain:

                              you can install MIUI dialer easily. but you'll need to uninstall google phone and contacts, and set MIUI dialer as default through managing apps and set default.

                              MIUI issues Chinese version updates first and then comes to global. note that during this period, Chinese version gets minimum 1 update up to 5 updates before it is released to global (EEA, INDIA, Etc....) and you'll find all updates are received at a lower version number compared to Chinese, this is due to eliminating bugs tested on Chinese version before releasing to global. even with global it goes first to Indonesia, then EEA and india then global. with days in between. that's for testing it in stages in global.

                              that's why i'd say you are wrong with your theory (except for camera patch and settings). but other than that, it is fully up to date with minimum bugs and least number of updates.

                              it is not about how many updates you get, it is about quality which I found in the last few updates very interesting.

                                Mi India and Global mostly, we need MIUI Dialer than google dialer. MIUI has a lot more options available than Google Dialer. So Many of us want to have MIUI Dialer back to its flagships like MI 11 Ultra.

                                MIUI offers very poor updates for Mi 11 Ultra in India. whereas in China and Europe Mi offers lots of updates with a number of bug fixes. Other brands update their flagships with Android 12 with lots of improvements. But Mi does not care about updating OS & improving its flagships even. Still, there is not enough purpose served of using back display in Mi 11 Ultra. China brand is always china brand in India. wasted Money...

                                  It is worth mentioning that this device with software 12.0 once released was the 2nd most buggy software I ever used.

                                  BUT!!! since 12.5.4 I almost have not seen a single bug in this device, and it is the cleanest and most stable software I ever used. and right now I am on 12.5.8 global latest version released yesterday.

                                  Consider the reputation of MIUI has change 180degrees now. it is nearly perfect if it is not yet.
