Why do you need to have contacts stored on your SIM card at all? Why not just use a cloud based system? I have not needed or used SIM card contacts for many many years.

No, this is not due to the Google Contacts app. Previously, Xiaomi had its own contacts, phone and messaging app. 10 days ago, I was updating the software on the smartphone Huawei MAT 20 Lite to Android 10. Everything was accurate on it, before and after the update. So it is now since the last update. Everything is fine in it. These elementary settings were always there even in mobile phones before smartphones. This is elementary for programming at the core of any smartphone's operating system now, But the MI9 Lite has not been made and has not been repaired so far.

Suddenly, no more Android 10 update. I postponed to update an now theres no update available OTA. How do you explain this?

Emo, 24 Mar 2020There is no difference in battery durability after installi... moreI think that is due Google Contacts app, not Xiaomi. Previosly, Xiaomi had it's own contacts, phone, and messaging app. Google just wants to own everyone and know everything, sadly but true.

There is no difference in battery durability after installing Android 10. It's fine. But the problem of displaying, editing, adding and deleting contacts - or not working with SIM card contacts at all - is impossible. No such setting - show contacts only in sim card. Do not attempt to install an additional SIM card contact application. Recently I've tried more than 10 contact apps from Google Play. Nothing happens. What's more, if sync is turned on and logged in to Google, everything is smeared. Your phone contacts are also deleted. Only the auxiliary contacts for contact with your telecom operator and emergency contacts are left. I had to reset and reinstall the operating system. Well, it just reinstalled the new MIUI 11.01 with Android 10, and it worked pretty quickly without having to go through all the previous updates. Too bad for a nice phone. In Europe, the practice is to use contacts both on the phone and on the SIM card. And it is easy to dig in from one to the other. I hope they fix this nasty bug, but I don't believe it anymore. There have been 4 or 5 updates so far, but they haven't fixed it.

Thank you Mr. Irhut. Not a problem, but the impossibility of adding a new contact or deleting a contact in the SIM card remains. I also have a Xiaomi Readmi Note2 that I can set to display only the contacts in the simcard. So I can delete, add and copy contacts. Obviously, I have to put up with it. But i want to know if this is the case with all Xiaomi MI9 Lite smartphones or is it just me? Thank you.

Thank you. Not a problem, but the impossibility of adding a new contact or deleting a contact in the SIM card remains. Еmo, 20 Mar 2020Thanks, however, you can only export contacts to your phone... moreOk. Is there any reason why you don't just use Google contacts to store them? This makes it very easy when you change phones or need to reset. However I know some people don't like giving stuff to Google.

Thanks, however, you can only export contacts to your phone or Google Account, but not remain visible, save a new contact to the SIM card, or delete them, or remain visible to all contacts for display whenever you want to talk and talk to one of them.

The SIM card contacts do not appear in the phonebook. I updated to the OTA for Android 10 global MiUI 11.0.1 and nothing again. cannot display contacts in sim card and delete or add contact to sim. Big problem!
