I have it (global version, bought in Europe), since May (2018), so far so good, i did update on Oreo, works great, no issues, great battery life on average use (4G, gaming, FB, Instagram, you tube, music), Bluetooth works great, IR blaster as well, GPS is perfect (on 100% battery GPS constantly turned on for more than 5 hours it drained it till 40% which i find great), awesome daylight pics, average at low light, battery charging from 0 to 100 in about 1.5h, very fast, smooth, fast responding, for that price it's amaizing

007, 21 Oct 2018 xiaomi a1 and a2 when upgrade to android 9.0 ? Since there is no news on Beta Test for Android Pie as at now, Most probably it'll take another few months, Maybe by early 2019.
Hope Xiaomi done repeat a rush job like how there update Oreo 8.0 last year, the update end up with lots of bugs & took 4 months to rectify.

It does have FM radio as hardware, but doesn't have a software fotó it.

The october update has been rolled out. I have updated the device and the system seems stable at the moment. In the release buletin are pointed some android security problems that were patched. The device works fine at the moment.

this gu... moreI am very happy with my Samsung phone, yes i carry 2 phone all the time, My Samsung had been superb, taking brilliant photo, fast & accurate GPS, So fat zero defect, is merely a J series.
Probably you are comparing MiA1 with some other lousy Indian or low end China phone.

I don't own any Motorola phone, why would i bother the comment about Motorola phone ? in fact Motorola phone is not popular in my country, you can hardly see any shop selling it & almost impossible to see people using it.
Why can't i complain about my phone which i bought using my own money? Why do you need to feel upset when i complain about my phone? Do you work for Xiaomi or are you selling Xiaomi phone.
Is my personal freedom isn't it.

You are one who keeps posting problems and defects on many phones forum, rather than appreciating the positive aspects of a phone. I remember you on Motorola phones posts specially. You always have problems with whichever phone you use.be it Motorola or Xiaomi.
If Mi A1 is not good why don't you throw off and buy a better one which is perfect by all means? It will save your headache.

Android Pie is expected early next... moreGPS is pathetically slow & inaccurate, Nokia already has Android Pie update & this Android One program MIA1 will take another 3 months, even some non Android One phone already expect to get Android Pie in next couple of months.

I have this phone since Jan 2018.
Works very well.
No problems.
No stucks or crashes.
I can do with it heavy tasks like managing my website and my google ada account.
Work well with multitasking
Camera above average at good light and average at night.
Stock android.
Waiting for update to Android P .
Hope it will come soon.

More issue after the update, Adaptive Brightness very slow, it took 5 seconds for the screen to adapt to outdoor brightness.
Each time going out from my house to my car, i need to wait for 5 seconds after unlock the phone to read what's on the screen, this is very annoying.
Each update bring more issue.

You clearly did not own the phone for 1 year.
That why you can't remember the chronicle of the update... lol
