Bought mine A1 from Aliexpress two weeks ago.So far,all I can say it is a superb phone for under $200 i paid for.Display is actually very good,chipset is great for the class,battery life excellent,even cameras are actually capable of making very good pics.Soon as I turned on my new device,it updated itself from android 7.1.2 to 8.1.0 along with 17 Google apps...and it did it in about five minutes,that`s great,and I don`t even have a superfast Wi-Fi at home.Everything works perfectly fine.Excellent phone by itself but then you see the price!
Well done Xiaomi,a great,quality product for a great price...as usual from Xiaomi...

Can't connect to computer, tried factory reset & srill can't connect to computer, now i have to remove the micro SD card & use card reader to move those photo & video to my computer to have it edit, this is so troublesome.
Sometime i need to email those photo & video, usable to directly connect the phone to PC is a problem to me.

I updated september patch without any problem. There are no visible bugs. I could connect my phone to laptop without any hitch.

Have updated the system with latest available update on 01 Oct 2018.
No problems and it's working all fine.

Hi, anyone with problem too install the September update?
In my case the terminal make the download but in the moment of the installation appears "problem with the installation". In the pass 1 of 2.
If anyone knows something, I appreciate, thanks!!

There is bugs in the pho es camera, when the picture is taken it looks dark, sometimes light but mostly awful.

I want to install the update, but I'm afraid that it may break something. Why is there so little info about this update? I have got the update notification for the first time today 1 October in Serbia.

Usually people just take photo in auto mode, nobody going to ask Birthday boy/girl wait for 10 minutes for them to adjust there low quality phone camera...lol

- either it's a faulty piece that you got.
- or you seriously don't know how to take pictures.
I use Mi A1 for taking pics and scanning documents. Never had a single problem. Out put is crispy clear.
