AnonD-485008, 15 Dec 2016my mi max is still on MIUI7 and recently got an update to M... moreI am at MiUI 8.1.2 & it's good regarding batter life, compared to the 7.5 it brings some bug fixes, Google play services work much better & they did tune camera and video recording quality (still much can be done regarding it). I am skiing the 8.1.3 completely as it's minor security update & idiots rolled it as a complete ROM. On the Prime models the 8.1.4 is basically the same as 8.1.3 on regular model but they rolled up normal OTA with only updated security components & it's rather small as it should be.

I got this phone yesterday and I updated my software to miui8 . I'm having a real bad charging situation now, charged for 8-9 hours at night for 60% bump. Is this the software talking or I've a defective product?

It's likely under white light, so it may look a little different under different light -- as my silver does look a little different than the photo. But I've put it in a case, so the back really doesn't feature for me. Anyway, great bargain phone, however you measure it.

But, yes, you're absolutely right! Just buy it! It's a steal!

The other configurations (4GB and 652 processor) while perhaps still a good bargain aren't as good as the 3GB/32GB (augmented with separately purchased microSD card).

crispain, 15 Dec 2016I wanna buy this cell phone so can anybody give me informat... moreI just got mine a few hours ago. It's pretty good! I'm replacing my Zenfone 6 (had a Galaxy S3 before that). It's worth the money. And I was impressed to find that I got the System Update to MIUI 8 without and trouble (this is the update to the 7.5 that came with the system). MIUI 8 has a pull-down UI that's close to what I like on Asus's ZenUI. I bought the Global ROM/International version.
Hope this helps! p.s. It's really good (sweet spot) value for the money < US$200. Of course, I shopped around. I'd include a link here but I think that's against the posting rules I'm reading below. Btw, I'm already seeing I have another MIUI update! That's not something you find with most value phones.

Just buy it. My personal advice is not to update the MIUI to avoid any problems. Only camera is not good enough. The rest all good. Don't overcharge the battery. No regrets.

Which sim u r using very less okay
Use a match stick and burn it from back side and not much just small so that us main part of sim will remoVe with out damage and paste it on memcard with a cello tape on the free space...okay...
Bt plz now tell me smthing is this problem occur in ur phone that when u use mobile network for long time then it automatically slow down and come on 2G etc smthing...

my mi max is still on MIUI7 and recently got an update to MIUI8.1.3 but i am reluctant to upgrade due to:
1)feedbacks of terrible battery performances after updates.
2)instability of the interfaces.
3)heating issues.
does anyone had update their mi max to v.8.1.3? how's the feedback?

It depends on ua choice of screen size...if you r okay with the 6.4" big screen MI MAX is the best option.
Moto M is having a new processor helio p15 and a small screen size of 5.5" when compared to MAX.
Also if you are going for the Moto M 4gb varient for 18k Its even better for you to choose MI MAX PRIME wid SD652 proc & 4 gb of Ram @20k.
For sure the Snapdragon procs are THE BEST.
Hope you choose the right one.

Pros - Min 3 Days battery, Screen size amazing, light weight compared to its size, Internal 32 GB expandable, Camera's good. Con's - Speaker could be still loud, Sim 1 + Sim 2 or SD card. Over all recommended.

1. Xiaomi Mi Max... moreDepends on what you want in a phone. Camera go for Oppo. Good sound quality go for vivo. Amazing battery life, big screen, lot of community support go for Mi Max.
If you love selfie and using camera, I suggest go for Oppo because it really good in camera department.
Love watching movie,video go for bigger screen like Mi Max. The battery on Mi Max is absolutely good and better than Oppo F1s and Vivo V5.
I don't know much about Vivo V5 but I heard from my friend it has a top notch sound quality and pretty good smartphone.
Honestly, it all depends on what you need in a smartphone. Decide what you want. All those 3 smartphone that you mention is good smartphone and can handle all usage without any problems in you daily usage. Each smartphone has its advantage and its own disadvantage compare to other smartphone and you need to decide with advantage benefit you more and if you can live with those disadvantage.

3. Oppo F1s
