Just got this phone, so I figured I'd give my opinion. I'm in the US on Tmobile and coming from an Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra, the Mi Max 3 is AMAZING! Feels great in the hand, screen looks good, and battery life is a beast. I play a few non-intensive games and the cpu holds up well. Faceunlock is surprisingly fast. It feels like I have no lock screen at all. Fingerprint sensor seems accurate as well, but I don't use it as much due to face unlock.
On Tmobile, I'm getting download speeds of 50mbps. So far, my only complaint is the speakers. While there are stereo spekaers (top and bottom), the top is very tinny, like someone called you and they're playing music on their end. All in all, if you want a phone with a huge battery for watching videos like I did, the Mi Max 3 will not disappoint.

If it's even longer than Android One, well that's good, I only care about Android One for the longer updates, so if MIUI has a long update cycle, it would be even better. This phone is real value for money, perfect replacement for my Galaxy Mega 6.3.

      I’m planning to buy this phone but I got hesitated because it has only SD 636. Please help me choose between Honor 8x max that has SD 660 or this phone. Btw I am planning to Install TWRP Recovery and Rooting my phone.

          In my opinion just go for a huawei honor note 10. Maybe wait for mi max 4? The mi max 3 is just not worth it.

And there are som quite good features in MIUI one quickly comes to miss in stock android. Hence I switched back to my Mi Max, from being on a fairly stock Cubot, in my wait for mi mix 3.

                    also, the ultra z had big bezels top and bottom...these upcoming 6.9/7.0 inch phones are basically the same size as the ultra z minus those big bezels.

                        its not cheap.. other phone had same chipset for half its price. an upgrade to 660 wont cost much. weve seen it on mi6x vs note 5 pro only differs about $30 on identical specs. but we dont have 660 powered mimax3 ?! very disapointed.

Can anybody tell whether a transparent rugged case may be available in India? I want a good large display with decent audio and large battery. I definitely want the 128 GB/6 GB version. So, Max 3 looks like having almost everything I'm looking for in a pocket-friendly package.
