miaumiaumiau, 13 Dec 2021you do realise that samsung tab s8 will be probably double ... moreRight of course, tab s8 will be more expensive than mi pad 5. However, their one ui is better than miui and Samsung has promised 3 years upgrade support. Something Xiaomi hasn't promised for mi pad 5. Mi pad 5 will be fine for the sake of budget though.

miaumiaumiau, 29 Nov 2021I have a chance to get this or ipad air 4, with 100 euro le... morego for mi pad 5 then.

I have a chance to get this or ipad air 4, with 100 euro less.

the dilema is: should I pay 250 more for the ipad? for me, the performance doesnt matter, also I am more confortable with android then IOS. the screen is important, and I think the xiaomi have better screen, but maybe its me. i know about refresh rate, its ok, i have 120hz on my phone. for reading does it make a big difference?

with xiaomi you get the ”famous” software thats why i went with sammy on phone. but other then that what do you think? I dont care about updates also, on a tablet atleast. the tablet will be use for media consumption and reading.

But then I don't have a static black on white image for 30 minutes just to note some image retention and I keep my use to normal brightness levels. OLED is known to have some linger effects and older tech had a tendency to burn static images in. Will that be the case here? Possibly, if you run static images continuously, but is that a real world scenario for you? If it is, then go for an LCD screen. You will give up the deeper blacks and media consumption advantages, but that is why it is always a good idea to be sure of how you intend to use any device. As to your comment not to believe my own experience over that of someone on YouTube - LOL, totally depends on how detailed and trustworthy any reviewer is. But I will take my experience over anyone else's for my specific use cases. As always, caveat emptor!

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2021This entire comment is nonsense. I have the Lenovo Pad Pro ... moreDrawing-intensive channels in Youtube easily show how Lenovo's OLED suffers from screen retention after 30 mins of use (sketching) on white canvas. Are you also going to ignore the dirty screen effect or dirty gray already reported in Reddit for the 2021 Pad Pro? I have the 2021 Pad Pro myself and I admire OLED, I also didn't ignore its shortcomings. Didn't you ever wonder why Lenovo changed to AMOLED (Samsung) for ther 12" Pad Pro? lol. Your own experience as your own fact, that's the weakest reasoning someone could ever use in an argument. Come on, use the searchbar your browser has provided, it's the easiest thing to do.

I have the Lenovo Pad Pro and it has no image retention and no dirty screen effect (DSE is usually an LCD TV problem as most tend to have large screens without localized back light dimming, sport.) If you get a color problem it is because you decided to keep the brightness so low that everything got washed out anyway. That is, if you ever actually had your hands on one of these Lenovo pads instead of BSing in every post. I use the Lenovo pen on my Pad Pro, as well as Ipads at work with a variety of drawing and CAD apps, and, again, no issues whatsoever. Folks, if you want a top notch pad with an OLED screen at a great price go for the Lenovo. If you someway prefer the LCD screen of the Xiaomi, go for that. Both are good pads but the standout values are in the Lenovo lineup this year.

This tablet is okay given the specs and the price. İt is not great but nearly every competitor is either overpriced or too weak. It has no 3.5mm jack. I would not be buying anything without the good ole jack yet i gave it a try. No SD card too so really on the edge of becoming something overpriced. LCD does not bother much but to be honest I miss the crispiness of OLED. Sometimes the brightness does not feel enough, probably due to LCD backlighting. The pen does not come bundled like in Samsung which is a huge negative. I bought it for 100 dollar from China. So if you want actually a usable tablet, this costs around 450 dolar. İt probably uses mpp pen but I haven't been able to test it. Xiaomi again tries to be a wannabe Apple as they added Bluetooth authentication to their proprietary pen so not every surface pen will work on this.(again it is what I have heard, not exact info)
Also I did not get why everyone lashes out to MIUI but hell it really sucks. I was stuck in setup screen because there were no buttons and it for bugged. Not a great first impression.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2021there is no fingerprint sensor????????Yes unfortunately, the fp sensor is only for the Pro version.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2021I've owned a Lenovo Pad Pro for a number of months and... moreThe main problem with OLED in the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro is that they can easily get image retention during basic drawing session for example around 30 mins (a bad indicator that can be associated to a bad OLED that will easily get burn-ins over time). It's really bad for a tablet with a stylus that people would draw for hours. The OLED display also have bad uniformity (dirty screen effect, not to mention color tinting) at very-low brightness something that no one should experience at that pricepoint but users are just accepting it like they deserve it. lol.

Really good tablet for the price of only 349USD that would also go down during monthly discount sales.
