patostar, 01 Jul 2020Thanks a lot for your informative post, but to be honest I ... moreYes the serial number should match. But be sure it's a sealed box. That way you are sure it came straight from the factory and is not used, returned unit, demo unit or refurbished unit sold as brand new.

Onmyopinion, 01 Jul 2020Maybe the flagship killer of the year It is. Everybody should install GCam on it so you'll get vastly better night shots with GCam Night Sight - despite the Poco F2 Pro not having any OIS:
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.0.apk
The 8K video is also very detailed. Shaky though as there is no OIS/EIS on the 8K video (not like the 4K video), but if you are really into future proofing your memorable events, 8K recording is the way to go. Just buy a gimbal though for smooth 8K video footage.

AnoM, 29 Jun 2020Not really, if your country don't carry that model, they ca... moreSo, All in all, for official service support, your country must also has official sales of the same model, only then the service center can support for repair. Else, your only option for grey import smartphone repair is via third party smartphone repair shop.
Beware that not all smartphone models are sold for different region.
Take for example, for China region, it is Redmi K30 Pro, and for my region, it is sold as Poco F2 Pro.
Physically we can say it is the same phone, but technically, it is a different phone. The service center can has right to ignore the service, due to the firmware different.
So, even for grey import, I have to bought Poco F2 Pro, that is intended to sell at my country.
However, service center also can have right to ignore grey import of the same model, as these doesn't cover under that region warranty, even if you ask to pay for the repair, as these may considered as illegal unit.

... moreNot all charger will support the various fast charging protocol (in fact, very less), even the charger itself is labelled supported, not guarantee will support as each smartphone use some proprietary method to achieve fast charging.
For over 30W charging, even cable are proprietary as well.
Only buy original charger and cable for achieving the same original 30W fast charging speed.

patostar, 01 Jul 2020How to verify if a xiaomi phone is real or not?
I know we ... moreI don't think there are fake Poco F2 Pro's around so what you should worry more is getting one in sealed box (genuine and brand new), vs. getting one in an open box (genuine but used, slightly used, refurbished, tampered with unofficial ROM, etc.)
Physically and visually, it is a stunning looking phone - it looks and feels premium, and is heavier than most, if not all fkagship phones. Performance wise, it's very fast, smooth and fluid and the beautiful screen with no punch holes or notches and with that flashy pop up camera that glows with vibrant LED colors, is something you can never mistake for a fake one even if you never have really seen one before. You just can't mistake a fake one for an original. This phone oozes and screams premium in looks, feel, and performance.

How to verify if a xiaomi phone is real or not?
I know we can to to mi website, and use the serial number or imei to verify it, but what if fraudsters have made a lot of phones that have the same serial and imei numbers? I've read that in a country they found like 13,000 phones that have same imei, tomorrow I was going to buy a xiaomi phone in store, but now I am worried, can someone help?

At full charge, my F2 pro shows 40h 44m remaining (day 28)
I can see at least 3 levels of charging:
- Plug in laptop: Charging
- Mi 9T/ RP-PC112 adapter: Fast charging.
- Original adapter: Charging rapidly/ Turbo charge.
Bought RP-PC112 61W PD charger and it does not support turbo charge like original charger.

Habib, 29 Jun 2020Plz help me sound lavel of this phone very low when use he... moreOn your first use of earphones or headphones with the Poco F2 Pro, you will always receive the message below when you turn up the headphone volume for the first time:
"Listening at a high volume for a long time may damage your hearing. Tap OK to allow volume to be increased above safe levels."
Tap 'OK' to this message.
This will uncap the volume so that it goes up to the true maximum 100%.
If you have never seen this message at all, the music player or media player app may have a bug. To correct this, download 'Google Play Music' app and play songs from this app first. Increase the volume of Google Play Music app until you receive the message above. As before, tap 'OK' and true maximum volume will be unlocked. Otherwise, if you tap 'Cancel' or just ignore the message, your maximum volume level will remain in the low to medium volume.

Don't drag in Samsung, LG, and Oneplus, if you get those model that doesn't sold at your country, you are out of luck. Take for Samsung, previously there is an Active variant for S8, which doesn't sold at my country, and my country only carrying the Exynos model. If you get grey import for Snapdragon variant, or the model that doesn't sold here, you are basically out of luck. LG? The smartphone division of LG has exit my country. I ask for repair for my LG Urbane watch and they told me they can't repair anymore, no spare part for my watch, which previously is has officially sold. Yes, Oneplus is different, they works like Apple where they only offer 1 same model for all over the world, so even if you bought from grey import, they can repair for you, because is the same spare part.

raycon , 27 Jun 2020The warranty doesn't depend on the seller, because the sell... moreSince you mentioned AliExpress, you should have known that it is a congregation of grey market sellers. It may have several sellers of the Poco F2 Pro pretending to be official Xiaomi distributor but they're not. Good sellers honor returns and replacements. It's usually a one month return or refund policy. They also have a customer resolution center for customer complaints. Again, repeatedly criticizing Xiaomi for your isolated defective phone will not solve your problem. Go to consumer protection agencies or the online site's resolution center. That's how to go about it productively than just repeating your unfortunate experience over and over here.

[deleted post]To repeat, this forum is for productive discussions, and certainly NOT the place to solve your defective Poco F2 Pro problem.
Repeatedly maligning Xiaomi for your defective Poco F2 Pro because of your own fault - buying from a seller with horrible, non-existent return/refund policy CAN NOT, WILL NOT, and WILL NEVER solve your problem.
Grow up please and stop acting like a crybaby. Move on instead of secretly hoping that ALL the happy owners of Poco F2 Pro will soon suffer the same fate as you and that Xiaomi will get what it deserves. Go to consumer law agencies.
Maturity is letting go of things you can't do anything more about. As I said, stop being bitter and miserable for the rest of your life just because of a phone! Move on and stop spamming this forum with repeated narratives of your unfortunate experience and hoping other potential buyers will heed your advice and stop buying Xiaomi.
