Anonymous, 19 Jun 2020I'm sorry if I hurt your ignorance. I was just talking base... moreYou trying to hurt my ignorance. Hahaha. Stop copy pasting stuff. When u see stuff how they work u will know. But u answering on every single question is hilarious. When you have a fixed view so polarized can show content there is no such thing as view angle or a rotation for u to do with your eyes. Otherwise we would have mobile screens with optional polarizer rotation for the sake of fun. The same goes for glasses. He was talking and i was talking about mobile screens not tv's. Most mobiles 95% of them dont have problem with polarizer placement. You can place them how ever u want. Flip them rotate them what ever u like. Even switch them between oems. The only difference will be the color reproduction nothing else. It will in 95% of phones not block the light.
But im guessing u will still post answers to everybody elses opinions about the main topic here. That is this particular phone. Get help!

punisher, 19 Jun 2020You must be the same guy who bashed alot of users in this p... moreYou're talking about phone screen repair, he was talking about viewing a phone screen through polarized sunglasses. punisher, 19 Jun 2020You are wrong. Why i know that. Well because its my job. Wi... moreI'm sorry if I hurt your ignorance. I was just talking based in experience - that some IPS display phones like my old Mi Max phone behave like my LCD tv: The screen becomes dark when viewed using polarized sunglasses if the screen is in portrait. The same thing doesn't happen in an amoled phone, at least with the Samsung Note 8 a friend was using. You should try wearing expensive polarized sunglasses and view the screen of the said two phones in landscape (and an LCD monitor in portrait) so you'll understand what I mean when I say the display device screen of the LCD displays mentioned turns dark/barely visible when in cross axis with the polarized sunglasses and clearly visible when in the same axis as the polarized sunglasses.

The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there's no difference but in practice, there is. Duh!

raycon, 18 Jun 2020so you don't have the phone, then stop talking I don't need to own the phone but since you asked it, yes, I have the 256GB version of the Poco F2 Pro. I can certainly understand your frustration. You get lemons REGARDLESS of brand. But they should in no way be used to convince users to stop buying punchole free/notch free phones unless it's a confirmed widespread issue like the exploding battery of the Samsung Note7, or the bootlooping issue of the LG G4.

Polarized layer have nothing to do with what angle or rotation you look at the sceen. Stop bs already! The guy who asked the question i knew what he was trying without any furthet explanation because i work with this stuff. Stick with this particular model of a phone and value compared to the rest. I dont mind. But dont talk about something which u font have a clue of. Thank u and goodbye. I will to moderators because your behvaiour creates irritation among users.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2020Not many people can understand why you're asking such quest... moreYou are wrong. Why i know that. Well because its my job. Without polarizer there is no content. But hey be my guest and state otherwise. I have machines that take away the polarier and machines that set up nee polarizer. And ive repaired tons of mobiles! You have that content on youtube as well but its not shown on most common solutions because polarizers are always saved. It eould require a bad repairman to damage a polarizer!!!!

Djikstorm, 18 Jun 2020Doesn't work on the older oneEvery phone out there uses polarized layer which is the layer which sits on top. Without polarized layer there is only white color. Lcd and amoled. There is different types of polarized layers which are different like iphone and samsung layers. But they are seen even if they are switchable between those two oems. The only reason is they are not compatible is the saturation or effectivness of colors. In plain text they are somewhat washed out if not compatible (dedicated) polazirer which is ment for that particular model or oem. Seeing through polarized glasses on polarized screen doesnt do that much except darkens the brightness. Same thing goes if there are two layers on lcd or amoled. Its mosed used by us (me included) to darken the mistakes which are visible by one layer. But us i mean if there was a failure in repairng the screen which almost never happens. So the method is the same with polarized glasses on already polarized screen. The only way colors or anything is not seen if glasses are cheap. Which maybe doesnt match with polarized layer spectrum. But however its cool to have secret mode but its not that practical in reality.

It's actually you who is spreading misinformation. A single isolated case and you call on everybody to stop buying a great value phone. If your seller was really a legitimate one, the seller would have honored replacement or refund. Not all sellers are authorized by Xiaomi. Those that do, certainly will accept refund, repair or replacement during the warranty period.

Deal with it. Pop-up cameras are rated to last longer than you'll ever use the phone. Your battery and amoled screen will start failing first before the pop up experiences problems in normal settings. As I said, if yours died in two weeks, you have a lemon - a factory defect. Deal with it with your seller. Good sellers honor customer replacement and refunds. All phones have production defectives. No point criticizing isolated pop ups camera failures unless you can prove they are widespread in which case older phone models from Xiaomi or other brands with pop up cameras would have had already product recalls like the Note 7's exploding battery.

not to mention the heating issues I have with it now. before I was getting 9h of SoT, after 2 weeks I barely get 5h. buyers beware. Make sure you buy it from xiaomi itself otherwise they'll say that they can't fix it for you.

No solution though to remove the ugly notch in the Oneplus 7T or upgrade its older snapdragon processor to have superfast 5G or . Also, can't use a wired headphone on the Oneplus without buying an adapter. No master remote too. So yes, Oneplus is better, no explanation needed.

Xiaomi will not fix it even if I pay. I can post their email if you want. word will go out eventually and people will open their eyes to see exactly how Xiaomi deals with things like this. they asked me to go to a third party repair centre. I bought it from Spain and according to EU legislation and Xiaomi's own website I can claim warranty in UK, but in the email they said they can only repair it if I bought it from UK. I don't have the time or budget to sue them, I can only post comments online so people may see it, but you are all calling me a liar. If you buy it and it brakes good for you!

Djikstorm, 18 Jun 2020Can you see the screen with polarized sunglasses? Not many people can understand why you're asking such question.

Most newer phones (amoled in particular), no longer have 100% polarized screens. The original Mi Max phone had 100% polarized IPS display which means you have to rotate the phone from portrait to landscape to be able to see the screen with polarized sunglasses!

Most LCD tv's also exhibit the same behavior although since tv's are already oriented in 'landscape', people don't seem to notice they output polarized light not until they use polarized sunglasses/lenses and tilt their head 90 degrees from vertical (head in horizontal position) and watch the same LCD tv with polarized glasses on.
