I was experiencing a problem with my Oneplus 8T where I would answer a call but couldn't hear the caller although they could hear me. I decided to buy a cheap phone to determine whether the problem was with the phone and found the Poco F3 for £280 on Amazon UK and after using it for two weeks I cannot understand all the negative reviews on this forum, it is a delight to use. I don't play games or use social media much and I get more than two days use from a single charge. I agree that the camera is not the best but it was easy to find a Gcam mod which improves things a lot. People complain about the MIUI OS but after deleting the apps that I didn't need I found it quite easy to use. For the price I paid I am more than satisfied, it is a premium phone at a budget price.

Note: I am not defending just explaining why it's bad

d3ed5b9e6e, 14 Jun 2021After using both Galaxy A52 and Poco F3, for the past three... moreYou just sum up the difference between Samsung and Xiaomi. At least in the budget and mid-range models.
Samsung is more interested in software and the end user satisfaction, in using a phone day by day and for longer periods of time.
Xiaomi are only interested in delivering best hardware features for the price. Now, if those features work well together, is 50-50. Sometimes they do, other times they don't, depends on your luck and on the model. Sadly, in this Poco F3 model (like the Poco F2 Pro before it), they usually don't.
I would recommend this Poco F3 only to people who want to game all the time and don't have a big budget. But even in this case, they need to be aware of the average battery life and heating issues.

I came to poco f3 cuz my galaxy note 10 plus had a problem and i switch to poco and so far for 2 weaks the only thing that i mis is just s pen sometime..
1:Performance is way better and smoother on poco f3 with 120 hz is a game changer.
2: Battery life in note 10 plus i was getting around 4 5 hours screen on time without playing game and 3 to 4 by playing 1 or 2 hours pugb or cod...so i wake up in 8 and i charge note 10 around 6 afternoon and again when i was ready to sleap..
In poco f3 i get easly 6 7 hours screen on time whole day without playing games and by playing 1 or 2 hours arond 5 h scrnn on time...
3: screen was a bit better on note 10 plus ofc it is samsung but again also in poco you get a lot bright and with that 120 hz it is amazin..
Now for the camera if we compare the stock one note 10 plus it has a better camera but after j download the gcam my camera quality was great maybe not as great as note 10 plus but in some areas better for ex in the hdr the gcam is better...
And yes i came here after using galaxy s4..s5..a5 2017...note 8..note 9...and note 10 plus...
And the the poco launcher wasn't that easy to get used but i dont regret buying poco f3...
And for those that say that this phone do not have ip rating or wireless charging or some other feature...
Yes to have everything js always a good thing but come on you are paying 300$...
And those features for me wasn't that much of a big deal...

So i am interested in buying this phone, just solely for playing league of legends wild rift.. does this phone can play wild rift for a long time in all max setting (i aim for at least 60fps setting)?? Does the phone get hot after playing it for a long time? I mean want a phone that not too hot to hold in my hand or at least i am still comfortable with the temperature.
I am usually play lol wild rift for a straight 2-4 hours one play. So expect for 12 hours total of game time.

After using both Galaxy A52 and Poco F3, for the past three weeks. Here is my short and sweet consumer side review. Also, I will be posting this opinion on the pages of both phones. For the sake of the argument my POV will of someone who is never going to install a custom ROM. These two phones are the biggest rivals in that price range for this quarter/year.
In a perfect world F3's SOC, with A52's camera & UI-UX optimization within that price range would have been not just a flagship killer but an iPhone killer. But, we don't live in a perfect world and companies have to sell expensive phones to make profit.
When it comes to specification on paper and performance on gaming F3 is just amazing, its only rivals are phones with SD-888. But, when it comes to day to day use, I'm extremely sorry for saying this, Poco's UI-UX aka MIUI 12.X is utter garbage. I've used MIUI before, but MIUI 12.X is a completely different beast that I think will never be tamed by Poco. My emotional state while using MIUI 12.X is summarized by this Hitler reacts to lotus notes video https://youtu.be/Bk1dbsBWQ3k. When it comes to battery, the F3 reviewed by GSMArena and F3 bought by end-users are completely different, the battery-life is $hit. Only after reading this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-reduce-battery-consumption-on-the-poco-f3.4263559/post-85142995 I was able to stabilize the battery for single day use (dawn to dusk).
On the other hand, when using A52, this phone is just amazing. One UI on A52 easily rivals iPhone 12 (not pro & pro max) without considering the price difference. And I will abide with that statement. Due to IP12's smaller battery its A14 is completely useless for heavy-handed tasks, its only use is to complete (or get into) the Apple’s ecosystem for those who don't have an iOS device. OneUI 3.1.X in A52 is buttery smooth with no hiccups and lags. This phone is not made for gaming, but it is made to be a perfect phone in that price range. The battery-use is optimized, the pictures are great after the updates, EIS with OIS allows you to capture that perfect 1080p60fps video. Your bulky images and videos can always be backed up in an expandable storage. Its display experience tries to get near of F3's display. Samsung has tweaked OneUI for A52 really well, there is nothing to complain about, even if the processer is SD-720G. The phone feels like a complete device without any compromises.
I know and respect the fact that in coming years, it is sure that phones from Chinese companies will provide smooth user experience in there bang for the buck hardware, but when it comes to rivalry between F3 and A52 within that price bracket A52 blows F3 out of the water. Yes, there is an exception for F3 when it comes to gaming and custom ROMs use. And from my experience using F3, it is made specifically for pleasing gamers and users who fiddle with custom-ROMs. But, for those who are not going to play hardcore games or install custom ROMs in F3; avoid buying it. A52 is your bang for the buck option.
P.S my smartphone consumer background before A52 and F3 was iOS 14.X in A11 & A14, MIUI 10.X.X & custom ROM in SD-660, Oxygen OS & custom ROM in SD-835, and Custom ROM in SD-400.

I'm not defending anyone, if you don't like it don't buy it. just stop crying like a little child and move on. miui is bad and xiaomi clearly doesn't care about its quality so you only have 2 choices: use a custom rom or buy something else. also get lost I wasn't even talking to you

Nothing changed after the MiUi 12.5 update.
The phone is still full of bloatware (even though they declared it will be possible to remove some of it after the update).
The green tint and heating issues are still present.
Bye Bye Poco F3 for me. You won't be missed.

Why should I use a custom rom? Is their business to make a good phone out of the box. Not mine, to try to make it run more smoothly.
