NGC2841, 21 Oct 2023My PocoF3 hits its 3rd year life... I really remember this ... moreor it was just heating up randomly.
It's hard to measure such a thing unless you have some kind of monitoring app to monitor the temperature constantly.

It takes like only a minute to just connect it to a computer and move data.

Gann, 28 Oct 2023F5 minus F3 is 2, meaning only 2 years plus, not 3 years. No, he said it on its 3rd year of life. The F3 was released in March 2022 so it is 2 years 7 months old and is on it’s 3rd year now because it is older than 2 years, so he is correct.

SERIOUSBLACK47, 27 Oct 2023This phone would have been magic to me if it had sdhc supportAlso, a phone manufacturer can sell you a phone with 128Gb of memory for say $500, but sell you the same phone with 256Gb memory for $600, or a 512Gb version for $800. Now, what is the best option for the manufacturer? To sell you a 128Gb phone for $500 with a SD card slot or sell you a 512Gb version for $800? THAT is why all phone manufacturers have phased out SD card slots.

SERIOUSBLACK47, 27 Oct 2023This phone would have been magic to me if it had sdhc supportSD cards are a relic of a bygone era that were useful 20 years ago when phones came with 8Mb or 16Mb of memory (that is Megabyte and not Gigabyte) but are completely outdated by modern phones with up to 1TB of memory. Come and join the rest of us in 2023.

My PocoF3 hits its 3rd year life... I really remember this phone used to be hot on some gaming session but in MIUI14 its no longer heat that much and the battery for improve slightly,i took some reading on Cpu Monitoring app and seen the Prime core speed is somehow just stocked in 2.7GHz at heavy sessions instead of 3.19Ghz..to be fair it was not a big loss and the 2.7GHz imo is basically felt like a vanilla Snapdragon865 still fast as heck maybe some people just misunderstood why Xioami or Andriod phones somehow needs to slowdown the Phone overtime to avoid Heating issue on Newer Andriod versions....might upgrade for antoher Xioami phone in a forseable future

BR, 06 Oct 2023I've had one since January 2023, I started liking it w... moreStill google proprietary (spy) code is in it, and it's still tracking you under hood.
Once google gets your device fingerprint, it gets to track many activities you do on internet, and it has wifi scanning thing that collects your router location (which lets google know your home location).
And guess what? Google gives your location away to the contractors (mainly government).
This is why you are required to flash a custom ROM (AOSP) which does not have google spy code in it.

I've had one since January 2023, I started liking it when I began using MIUI EU, without ads, MIUI Launcher, without a bunch of system apps, and without ads.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2023This phone is fast enough. The problem with manufacturers ... moreYes I agree 100% with you. I've tried Poco F3, vivo X60 pro, Mi Pad 6 and any other device that using snapdragon 870, all of them is smooth, fast, stable and not get hot easily. I also have tried snapdragon 888, gen +1 and 2, and they are really hot and because of the temperature, it's often get throtling so the device have to take down the performance, so what's the point of making the chipset go higher just to get great score on benchmark app?

This phone is fast enough.
The problem with manufacturers today is that they try to make it too fast and too hot.
Why do they not focus on making hardware more energy efficient instead of making it unnecessarily faster?
These power bloat games are also badly coded that they require too much power.

JimmyTheGreatest, 14 Sep 2023Does anyone know where I can replace the battery of Xiaomi ... moreY i would recommend you buy the battery yourself online and you bring it to a trust worthy repair shop and they ll have it swapped for you. Probably thats what i ll do myself too since mine is still going solid for 2 and a half years but at one point a battery replacement is inevitable.
