redmi 2 8GB with 1GB RAM- less features in miui-8 update(no dual app, no second space). Also no lollipop still in kitkat(miui-8). But any body who is interested can update to Global stable rom of MiUI 8 once it is available. Current Global beta rom is sluggish in some redmi 2 8 GB versions.
for redmi 2/prime 16GB with 2GB RAM- no such issues everything works perfectly in global beta rom. so waiting for stable update in August.

To my all Redmi2 1gb/8gb owners..please don't update to beta rom since this miui8 update has nothing new...rather if you people wish...update to stable version 7.5.2 that is still Kitkat...if you own Redmi2 prime/pro/A then you have new features.

Btw i have the 16 GB version and in my phone dual apps & second space (which is not in miui 7) works perfectly . Which means i can use two whatsapp nos in the same phone. and the weather app(notification shade) change colour according to weather conditions.
Now do you need any proof to know that i own a redmi2 16 GB version?
And i am not being over smart . I am just saying the facts.
you were saying you found nothing new in Miui 8. There you are wrong.
Get a 16 GB redmi 2/prime with 2 GB ram to enjoy Miui 8 features.
Any Redmi 2 users can ask me any doubts about your phone(8GB/16GB both).

AKS, 26 Jul 2016First of all mind your language...only change in colours...... moreMr AKS in the specification page it is mentioned that there are two versions of Redmi 2 namely 8 GB version & 16 GB version which has 1 GB & 2 GB RAM respectively. So this page is not for redmi 2 8 GB only. In 8GB version you can flash the ROM of 16GB version but dual apps & second space will not work due to hardware restrictions. In 16 GB version there is Dual apps & second space and i am using the 16GB version of Redmi 2. There is another Made in India version of Redmi 2 called Redmi 2 Prime which is 16GB & 2GB ROM. And there is nothing wrong with my language. You are really blind better see a doctor..)

The best phone I have ever use, It's my love now, and seriously selfie is great, camera, focusing power awsom, most important it provides me a great experience, charge really fast, backup is good wen use without net or with single sim activate, at first showed heat up problem but gradually became fine after use, have already used a year, hope it will last long,, but seriously buy it, it's just best phone I have ever seen, and yes for information I don't play android games so may b that's y it doesnt hang much.

I want to remind that this page is for Redmi2 1gb/8gb version...and this model has not got any dual app or double space feature. If go for update you will just waste your data.
