I read all the new comments and I cant agree with the problems that other mentioned. I dont know, maybe im the lucky one but me and my friends dont have thoose kind of problems related to stability, google maps or heating.
Strange thing. I didnt noticed this kind of problems although I can say that im not palying games on it. I have alsi used it many times for navigation system for a whole day without any problems. The only time that the problem of heating was present in this two years and half it was when the phone was used in a motorcycle mounted in a closed waterproof case with outside temepratures abow 30 degrees in summer with the navigation always on. In such case the cemera would not working dispalying the warning about heating. Otherwise very happy with it and workd without any problems. And i have aplently of apps installed.

Pizza, 06 May 2023is this phone still worth to buy in 2023? is it good at mul... moreYes its still good. I have it now for about 2 years and more.
It has received also miui14 with android 13. You can expand ram from 6 to 11GB with ram extension feature if needed. The macro camera is one of the best out there .
Also main camera Samsung , the wide camera Sony imx and the selfie one also Sony imx ...are good. Its still worth as the phone cost no more than around 200 eur now and with all the characterisctics and a nice amoled screen you cant go wrong.

many of the problems that people are mentioning here are about indian version of this phone,i have this phone for 6 months now, updated to android 13 miui 14 no battery problems here,i charge it in morning heavy use at least 2 hours in instagram alone, with spotify and many more social apps and i have still 20% of battery life remaning when i get home in the night, people complaining about battery life in 2023 is weird.
i mean it takes like 30 min to charge it to like 50 60% what are you complaining about?

I've been using this phone for about 3 weeks now.
The 120hz screen feels nice for gestures.
I haven't encountered too much problems with it other than heating up badly from playing heavy and demanding games, and the system ui lagging.
Other than that, the performance isn't that bad either.
It can handle slightly demanding games and the camera is good too.

rolandschweiger, 02 May 2023(disabling PlayStore Auto-Update for Maps and then download... moreNo problems on my end though I didn't try it without doing a factory reset on my phone since it's kinda habitual on me to factory reset everytime there is a major os upgrade.
But if it still occurs on you if you do a factory reset, then it could be hardware related? Or maybe try downgrading to MIUI13 which requires more steps like unlocking bootloader etc. etc.

rolandschweiger, 02 May 2023(disabling PlayStore Auto-Update for Maps and then download... moreJust check every version available going down step by step till you find the one that is working & stick to it or back it up in case you want to test an upto date version to check whether the bug has been fixed or not, if not then just reinstall the backup.

Trad, 28 Apr 2023the battery is a disaster after upgrading to miui 14. it... moreI have restored to the factory and it was a hassle to configure everything again I don't like to use the backups in the Google cloud and the worst thing is that in the end I did and I can't restore them, I also wanted to save more data with the backup that miui does and only to see that all apps were showing 'not supported' message.
Lost everything and can't downgrade, received only the worst welcome seeing MIUI 14 during the initial screen...
This time I have fewer apps and I don't even play in high quality (blue archive *low*, guardian tales *max but only in 60hz*, genshin impact *low but 60hz*, call of duty *med*), I always use the saving mode (I set in 120hz) and I limit any app in the background, even if it is a messaging app, but its optimization of the CPU drains the battery is still horrible, even when inactive about 7-10% (having left the phone without active applications) and the worst thing is that others have come out bugs that I didn't have before is very rare, miui is a very unstable system.
I came to the conclusion that perhaps Xiaomi wants to get rid of it to force its users to buy a new model (even if it is the same phone but deteriorated *Note 12 Pro*) in short, it seems that he wants to take it off the market... Because even though this is from 2021, it is still a better option than the Note 11 and Note 12.
I regret upgrading to miui 14 god i didn't know how good i was with android 12 and miui 13 (even though this system already had a few bugs)
Now we have to wait for Xiaomi to launch an update to solve this, it really sucks to walk with a hot pocket because of the cpu-oven and if not... put a custom rom and forget about the support, stability and performance that Xiaomi promises in of this crappy system.
PD: The comments with my username below in this section me are also mine
PD 2: recommend custom roms pls

Anonymous, 02 May 2023Another solution is to disable Google Playstore Auto Update... more(disabling PlayStore Auto-Update for Maps and then downloading non-bugged version from APK mirror)
Thank you for that hint --- and i actually already did that once ... with a version i thought it would work but the compass got "stuck again" after 2 days ... so now i am on the latest version of Maps.
If you have a Version that works **longer** than just a few hours or days, can you please tell me the version-number so i can try exactly that one on my device?
many thanks. greetings
