Shenhe, 06 Feb 2023I see... Well, a day and a half are good enough for me. ... moreOf course. I just replied because all the statements here claiming that this phone/MIUI version drains the battery made me quite reluctant to a) buy the phone and b) update to MIUI 13 when it's simply not true and caused by misconfiguration and stupid app choices. It's quite a nifty device (good camera, awesome screen, IR blaster, huge battery, lots of memory, decent CPU, dual sim...) and I don't have any issues with it. Could be a bit smaller but that's it.

Charleroi, 05 Feb 2023No, that's average and without battery saving options.... moreI see...
Well, a day and a half are good enough for me. I use this as my main driver, and I do game on it. And charging it every night or so doesn't really affect my electric bill. You do you with your phone, and I'll do mine. :)

Shenhe, 05 Feb 2023I'm on MIUI 13.0.15 and I'm fine with the battery... moreNo, that's average and without battery saving options. When I get a phone, I deinstall/disable all the packages that I don't need. In case of the Redmi Note those were ~80 applications. Other applications are chosen carefully or restricted to not track me all the time. I use mainly browser (Firefox + Adblocker), Reddit (RedReader), Youtube (NewPipe, Skytube), Messengers (Signal, WhatsApp, SchildiChat), Podcasts (AntennaPod), Music (Vinyl), Navigation (Organic Maps, Osmand~), Email (K9-Mail), Newsblur (RSS) and many more specific ones (Smartwatch, Banking, Simple Gallery...).
If your phone drains fast, it's typically a sign that it tracks you all the time, receives numerous ads or you're using it for e.g. gaming (which I admittedly don't).

How long did you have it for? Is it still under warranty by any chance? Maybe you should have them take a look at it and maybe, just maybe, be able to replace the battery for free.

But FIVE DAYS without charging? That's a bit extreme, isn't it? The longest mine went for was like a day and a half! What do you run that dang thing on, fairy farts or some crap?

mymora88, 01 Feb 2023I was a fan of Xiaomi. Repeat! I WAS! I will never buy a Xi... moreFirst off, I'm sure Xiaomi won't grow a grey hair to see you go.
Secondly, I own mine since Apr '21 and 'till now, things are pretty fine. This doesn't mean I did not have any problems though. I did, mainly with the front camera not working properly on 3rd party apps, and I have to replace the battery once because it got swollen and pop the back panel off. But other than that, everything's dandy.
(P.S. I use MIUI Global, which I'm sure people are going to yell at me for. There are some nig-nags in it, yes, but it's perfectly fine for me who's not picky with what I'm using.)

I highly recommend to check your app sett... moreRedmi note 10 pros are known for having battery drain issues, i could go for a walk, be on standby for 30 minutes, only take a few photos and i would be 4% short. sadly its not even a miui issue, i tried 2 custom roms too. i tried factory resetting, no luck. i dont think i just got one defective battery out of thousands normal ones since i have seen a lot of people complaining about this issue too

8/256 GB version available from November 2022, GSMArena update the specs.
For those interested, it appears that they have also changed and added some sensors, and the screen panel compared to the 8/128 GB.
Can anyone verify if the custom roms work on the new model? And whether the issues on the old model have been (partially?) solved?

Yes, it is true that Miui 13 eats battery on standby, we have to wait if Xiaomi fixes these issues with Miui 14.
