nemesis, 30 Oct 2021really disappointed with Xiaomi..Redmi note 10 pro has been... morefirst of all in my point of view we should all be thankful that xiaomi developed a phone that offers high specs in a very affordable price, dont expect it to be perfect as there are no perfect phones; nobody is perfect you pay for what you get, this is also a budget series phone you can actually get more features than what you've paid, im not a xiaomi fan, im not biased here i just respect xiaomi because xiaomi also put an effort on making their incredible phones i appreciate their effort if you dont like it you can sell it online and im pretty sure there's a lot of people would love to buy that device, all phones have pros and cons including flagship phones, it depends on the user on how to deal with it, instead of mocking around we should all be glad to the developers are for listening to meet the users demands since xiaomi focused more on community based building company.
in accordance of the heating issue: redmi note 10 pro has a gorrilla glass 5 back so maybe its about glass vs plastic vs metal
or just flash eu 12.5.6 rom i heard on some user reviews that this version of rom doesn't heat up much and performs well also on casual gaming with a maximum of 38 degrees

My Resmi note 10 pro while call screen will off and while playing video screen will of after some secends again I should press power buuton please somebody help me , I exchanged with good Samsung M51 due to sterio speakers, otherwise phone is O K

Note 10 pro or max has tried for the 1st time to have AI proximity primarily for cost cut.Having an AI software instead of hardware sensors is a great move. and no wonder that soon every phone will be going for it. AI is a soaring high.

Yeah proximity might be a problem and it's software related. But Xiaomi do actually put proximity in this phone and it's name was Xiaomi proximity. I tested all apps that could read through sensor and this phone do actually have proximity. Of you don't believe me then download Devinfo from google playstore. Stop spreading things that aren't true.

MiUi 12.5 is buggy. I want to change Whatsapp Message notification tone to silent but not able to It takes me to Ringtones Folder where there is no option for None or Silent Tone. Each sound folder of Themes App should have option for - Silent.
In WhatsApp there is option for setting each chats Notification tone but Themes folder does not provide for setting of that chats notification to a silent mode.
Even in the main Settings there is a combined button for turning of Sounds of Ringtone + Notification tone. I just wish to turn off only Notification sound but there is no option.
MiUi is A very weak and cumbersome interface.
Xiaomi should provide for Stock Android interface.

Allen Allen, 31 Oct 2021redmi note 10 pro amazing phone for its value. already usin... moreyou may say that you are from the 1% lucky ones with no problems, which is rare since xiaomi company recognized that they are selling phones with faulty proximity sensors, not only for this model but for other models as well, just check all over many blogs and forums on internet and you'll see the massive complaints about this Proximity gate problem in many phone models.
The scandal would not be so big if they had recognized the problem from the beginning and had made a recall of the affected models, but what they have done is to flee forward wasting the time of their customers by making them believe that with the next software update would be solved and with nonsense calibration tips when they know it is a hardware problem without solution, which makes this case enters the criminal field, so clear are they that the problem is hardware that already announce new models with another proximity sensor system, if it had been software they would have solved it long ago.
Selling new devices knowing that they are defective makes them an unreliable company that despises its customers.
However I have this model and I find this failure (and the screen flickering) bearable since everything else is fine and because I got it with a 33% discount, otherwise I would not recommend it for a full price,but I repeat it, is not the failure itself but how they have managed the proximity gate.

really disappointed with Xiaomi..Redmi note 10 pro has been causing problems since the start..they advertise all the high end features in a affordable price range but the phones are subpar and have issues..not buying another Xiaomi phone again in my life.

Honestly, have had this phone for about 6 months and im really happy with it. Good photos ,amazing screen, amazing battery life and good overall performance, i have always updated when the new version is out and no real problems to speak of. This phone blows my mind how much you get for so little money. Real price to performance king!
