Keke , 17 Aug 2024My Poco X6 PRO has decimated this phone in all departments.... moreI would've preferred the Note 13 Pro if it had better ultrawide and selfie cameras, Wi-Fi 6, and better battery life. It's still a great phone, but a bit difficult to recommend when the X6 Pro is only $30 more expensive, which is why I decided to buy the X6 Pro instead.
Hopefully the Note 14 Pro can resolve some of the Note 13 Pro's weaknesses. If it does, I'll be switching to the Note 14 Pro, then I'll give my X6 Pro to my mom.

well i must say, this phone is very good for its overall specifications, the camera is good, the battery is okay, and the performance is good, for heavy gaming, the phone heats up, and the battery drops by one like 10 minutes, even in low-quality games, but its good phone for midrange budget and daily use...

I bought this phone probably 6 months back and I must say that it's a good phone for normal daily life.
But one thing that I feels Redmi should do something is with the Regular updates which is very slow as compared to many other phone brands.
Overall it's a good phone

For the pros, this phone is light and i love the back camera, the stability feature while you taking videos is amazing. Ive downloaded PUBG, and so far, nothing that negative side i noticed while playing it on this phone.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2024This phone or Poco X6 (non-Pro)?They're almost the same thing but the Poco X6 is cheaper,it's got a plastic back compared to glass back on the Redmi Note 13 Pro.The Redmi Note 13 Pro also got a 16/512GB configuration compared to the Poco X6 which only got a 12/512GB configuration. And the design between these 2 phones is slightly different(not the camera island is basically the same thing but the colorways is different for the 2 phones),Such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro having a purple colorway while the Poco X6 got a white colorway. Some colors for the Redmi Note 13 Pro is also available in China only which is the white and red colorway. If theres something wrong here please correct me.

The specs and the price were too compelling to ignore as i've been reading really positive reviews about it. if i don't like it my next one would probably be a Motorola. I was pleasantly surprised with the G84 and with the new Edge 50 line i feel that they have listened to feedback and have vastly improved both the hardware and software and the UI since. And their cameras have been really optimized i thought. Really great cameras and stock-ish Android.

Gino76ph, 08 Aug 2024Xiaomi's update policy is not so crystal clear. "... moreBrands don't usually mention how often they do software updates. It can be random depending on the device, where you live, and depending on the brands themselves. From my experience as a Xiaomi user for 10 years, it's usually every 2-3 months.
I've also used a Samsung before. For the first 2 years, it would receive software updates monthly, then for the third and last year of its lifespan, those updates slowed down to quarterly (every 3-4 months) as they focused on updating more recent devices.
No comment about Honor, they haven't been available in my country since 2019.

Gino76ph, 08 Aug 2024Xiaomi's update policy is not so crystal clear. "... moreAt this point, whatever takes your fancy, mate. I can't help you no more because I'm running out of answers.
You want a jack-of-all-trades without having to worry about virtually anything, including software support and camera quality, go for Samsung. This will be my last buying advice for you, good luck with making your next purchase.

Williamzzz, 08 Aug 2024The ads themselves on Xiaomi phones aren't as botherso... moreXiaomi's update policy is not so crystal clear. "Four years of Android OS updates" but for how long would someone wait until it's updated? Nothing in the small print. "Five years of security update" but will the updates be pushed monthly, quarterly, 6-monthly, yearly? Again, show me something that specifically say that and i'll eat my hat.
And what are your thoughts on Honor? (The 200 & 200 Pro seems to have compelling specs and features. And it's currently on discount).

Williamzzz, 08 Aug 2024The ads themselves on Xiaomi phones aren't as botherso... moreHere are several ways you can do to turn off ads on Xiaomi devices using HyperOS:
1. Settings -> Fingerprints, face data, and screen lock -> Authorization & revocation -> Disable the "msa" app. This app is responsible for showing ads on first-party apps from Xiaomi.
2. Settings -> Fingerprints, face data, and screen lock -> Privacy -> Ad services -> Disable "Personalized ads"
3. On the "Security" app, tap the settings icon (nut icon) on the top-right corner, scroll down, then disable "Receive recommendations"
4. On the "Themes" app, go to the "My account" tab, then go to settings (nut icon) on the top right corner, then disable "Show ads" and "Personalized recommendations"
5. On the "Music" app, tap the icon on the top left, go to Settings -> Advanced settings -> Scroll down, then disable "Show ads" and "Show online recommendations on startup". I also recommend disabling " Allow permanent notifications".
6. As for the apps "GetApps" and "Mi Video", I simply went to their App info and disabled notifications since I don't use them.
That's all the ways I've discovered so far. Have a nice day.

hei, 07 Aug 2024Help ne choose, Honor x8b or this phone? I need camera and ... moreThe Redmi of course, no comparison. Honor X8b uses a low-end, outdated, and 4G-only Snapdragon 680. Demanding games like Genshin Impact are nearly unplayable on even the lowest graphics settings.
Honor X8b also doesn't come with OIS on its main camera, and can't record 4K videos.
