I have switched to REDMI NOTE 3 after getting fed up with Samsung's looting. I kept on buying upgrades as I was so happy. I have bought a Note 9 which was also extraordinary..
About six months U have bought Redmi Note Pro 13 + spending nearly Rs. 30000 INR. I am thoroughly disappointed as
1) Battery lasts hardly 8-10 hrs
2) Phone hangs especially while using What's app
Complacency , arrogance and avarice seems to creeping in to MI too. Why I say so?
1) Releasing dime a dozen varients in every series and and switching to next series too quickly to milk the market
2) Slashing rates drastically to make trusted users like me feel cheated
3) Soft grade upgrades are not improving battery life or hanging issues
TIO SUMP UP, THIS WILL BE MY LAST REDMI PHONE

W... morePro 5G over Pro 4G all day IMO
13 Pro+ has a better build I think, curved screen and different processor. I didn't like it very much back then when it released, I've always thought the 13 Pro 5G was a better deal (3.5mm jack, Qualcomm SoC for the people who like custom roms, lighter and a design I like better).

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2024For how long are you using it? How about overall performanc... moreAround nine months. It's been okay. Battery life is regular... It isn't bad, it isn't great either. Performance is good for every day to day usage, I have the 256/8 version. I haven't had issues with any app but I don't play games on it so I can't speak in that regard. Highlights are the main camera, screen, weight/comfort, 3.5mm jack. Software support has been okay as well, it didn't use to get many updates but I've gotten like three or four since june and it is in the latest HyperOS/Android 14 with october security patch.
I tried to switch to a Samsung A55 that was faster/smoother, had better software experience and better battery life, but the screen was awful to me. Terrible PWM so I had to return it and get back to this one for the time being.
I can recommend it if you find it around 250 USD. Very few phones are better than this at that price point. But be aware the battery life can be disappointing depending on your needs. I'm expecting to replace it for the upcoming global release of Redmi Note 14 Pro+ or something else to be honest.

Ive had this phone for several months and it's great. Yes it has an earphone jack. The screen is awesome and the camera is decent. It's everything I need in a budget phone.
My only complaint is I can't uninstall Google Drive, Google One, Google TV & YouTube Music. But all of the other bloatware is removable.

They all removed jack, add spyware , unremovabls battery, fragile box and hardware, clunky os, full of anoyances, becoming expensive. I only see procs really improved last years. I don't like OLED , worst for eyesight, I don't need ultra zoom lens, it's ridiculous.
So if they keep those expensive price for unreliable phones , yes iPhone will win for me, despite really don't like iOS.... The hardware of iPhone is the best, and by far.
If redmi chianomi they.d improve os and keep cheap, yes that's interesting. But 300 or more for an unreliable redmi, no, that brand supposed to be cheap. I remember time when got some SD 620 for 75 euros. That was great. Nowadays,they are not worth. Just my opinion.

I had two problems with chianomi.
First, software. Buggy laggy drivers, sneaky call home telemetry everywhere, bloatcrapspyware deeply tight in os. Also full of annoyance, despite come configurability. Like forced 'blin bling' sound and notifications.
Second, reliability. Far less reliable, I mean, the hardware s. Some i had charging port died ( yes i used legit charger...) , Some screen. They do that on purpose or not, result is same.
But untrusty buggy anoying os is really what pushed me away. But the redmi are ok price (expensive, but at least 30% cheaper) compared to the 'big brands'.
Is it still the case ? Well objectively, not from fanboys opinions...

I ve bought note 13 pro 5g with around $170. And after more week using, it is wonderful for daily usage. Its a very good phone in price range. Camera is wonderful too in comparison with flagship. And I see it is very hard to get a good device with cool cam like this in the price range $200. So why many of u claim about this? For normal users with daily task Xiaomi does it best with note 13 pro 5g. In the future it seems that there will be hard to get a balanced device like this. Take it guys when store available ^^
