AnonD-531503, 29 Apr 2016This phone not good to use very hot Any phone, if you subject it to heavy and prolonged use and you also have many background apps on, it *will* heat up. ANY phone, even the high end, expensive phones. On top of that, you are draining your battery very fast.
This is not a fault of the phone. It is your usage of the phone that is at fault.
Please configure your phone correctly and learn how to use it efficiently.
If you really, really, really need to have heavy, prolonged use and you also want to have many apps on running in the background, then be prepared for overheating and battery drain....and pay for high electricity bills.

This shows you don't know how to use this phone. It is *not* a fault of the phone.
Please google how to set up this phone. There are many tutorials and videos and also the Mi forum that teach us how to configure this phone.

I bought Xiaomai Redmi Note 2 on 5 days ago, face with many errors in applications after started to using it even in Wifi,Hotspot,bluetooth,Zapya. Can't upgrade to MIUI V7.2.3.0.LHMCNDA version, can't used the downloaded application from playstore,etc. :(

whenever i tried to install any apps from mi appstore after i reinstalled stable rom into this phone..it shows "unfortunately, there is no installer for your phone." why is this??

Every morning , I need to switch on/ off to airplane mode if I want to use mobile data.
So that , I can use Mobile data all day. Otherwise, mobile data is out of action.
Tomorrow morning : Same as above.

Have used it for 1 month now. I almost can't believe it is working so well.
I needed a new phone desperately. The battery in my 5yo Sony Ericsson phone was dying and it needed recharging 3 or 4 times daily. Phone was still working fine, though - a testament to Sony's high quality.
One year ago, I bought a Microsoft Lumia 535. Bad phone. It couldn't do things I wanted it to do and bought it for. E.g., I thought it would interface with my Windows PC seamlessly. No, it didn't - a big disappointment. No OTG. Couldn't transfer SMS messages and lists from my old phone. So I had to continue using my old phone. It's no surprise Lumia sales have dropped drastically recently.
My first choice was the expensive Sony Xperia M4 Aqua but the store chain (Challenger Singapore) did not stock it. So I decided on the Asus Zenfone 2, which was on special offer but they said it was sold out at all stores.
I had to 'settle' for the Redmi Note 2 at its listed price, and felt apprehensive about buying a China-made device. Looking back now, I am laughing at my own apprehension...LOL!
Set up the phone, updated firmware to MIUI Global 7.2.3.0(LHMMIDA), removed/disabled unwanted apps, and played around with it. The learning curve was surprisingly gentle. It was much easier to get used to than the Lumia phone. Touch response felt totally different from the Lumia phone, which has a serious touch problem. Interfaced with my PC without any hassle.
After one month's use, I have no issues at all. There is no overheating problem (this is due to too many apps running in the background whilst on heavy, prolonged usage), no dropped calls or data connection, no hanging when browsing (this is a problem of the website visited and not the device; my PC too always hangs on certain sites), no battery drain (this is due to always-on apps and other background activity), no glitches, whatsoever!
Maybe one teeny 'problem', but this is just me and is not about the phone. Auto-sync. This was simply resolved by switching off the function or deleting the relevant cloud account.
Battery easily lasts more than a day, even with heavy browsing and watching YouTube videos. Charging is super fast - from 15% to 100% in less than 1.5 hours! On standby and with very light usage (making lists, changing settings, etc), the battery remains at 100% for 8 hours or longer! That is how efficient this phone is.
I have 2 micro-SIMs - one only for data, the other only for phone. Data SIM goes into the first slot, phone SIM into the second slot. In the toggle screen, I can switch off Mobile Data (SIM 1) to save data and battery and I can still receive phone calls/messages (SIM 2).
I can also turn on Hotspot and my PC automatically connects (after configuration) to my Redmi for Internet access. I now do not need to use my Huawei mobile broadband dongle.
Wifi connection, when on the move, works flawlessly.
Camera works fine. What is really cool, is the Zoom function, which can be controlled by the Volume button. Most phone cameras do not have Zoom and you would have to pay for an app in order to have it.
The best thing is the low, low price, which does not seem to match the solid quality experienced so far. It could be that Xiaomi is on a branding mission and they are putting out 'loss leaders'. Once the branding is complete, I doubt their prices will continue to remain this low. Just like what happened with Sony and Samsung. So grab it now while the price is still so cheap for such an awesome phone. Or you may regret it later.
