Even I have facing this issue... while listening to music or watching any video, the phone stucks for a short while - say for a couple of minutes. Is this due to bug or MIUI issue?

I recently bought this phone's 3 GB and 64 GB variant.For the first few weeks the RAM management was quite fine.I had only about 1.7 GB available of 3 GB.Day by day it's getting reduced and now it's only about nearly 600 MB. Now there is heating for the the device.Can anyone please find the solution for this?Thanks in advance.

Do NOT simply believe those negative postings here as we cannot determine whether those negative postings are from competitors out to destroy Xiaomi market. Best is to get reviews from professional trusted reviews online.
I am NOT saying some of the issues posted are not true. All I said is that every posting needs to be verified accordingly. Issues faced by AP set phone does not necessarily mean ORIGINAL set phone is also affected. Besides AP set phone, there is also cloned set phone in the market or modified set which can tarnish the good name of the ORIGINAL set. We must also understand that there is no ORIGINAL set that can score 100 marks out of 100. If the phone is "value for money" with considerable high specification, we should be grateful. If we want very superior phone quality in all its specification, then we need to be prepared to pay more accordingly. This is the common reality!
So we need to verify each posting accordingly.

Even in 32 GB, available memory is too less.. After taking backup from redmi 2 prime, it shows 16 GB left actually and after creating 3 slow mo movies.. it says low memory..! Seems like Images and Videos takes huge space.. I found normal pictures take 3 to 5 MB and 2 mins video upto 1.4 GB..! Ridiculous..?

Use developer version miui 9, and u'll be surprised how fast it is, camera quality is also better than miui 8 nougat. I am very happy now.
