Asif, 15 Jun 2020Facing strange issues with this phone. Sometimes when i get... moreDo you have correct software version ? For example, you have EU software operating in Asia ?

If the phone will reach more than 45 degrees on CPU and battery, this will permanently damage my device or not?

When I was buy my phone after 7 days of use I had few issues. When I was take a photo in 64mp mode and I changed in photo mode and take photo of same object I hear high pitched sound, like some buzzing from speaker and it was not stopped until I reboot phone. It was not happened again. Also when I was play asphalt 9 set on max it was hear slightly which is great but when I was speak 15 min on Viber connected with Bluetooth headphones (powerbeats 3) it was become hot, almost I wasn't able to hold. Some apps say cpu is 45C but when I do research there is no sensor for cpu but just battery Temp.. Also, it have occasionally problem with internet cou over 4G and also over WiFi, it lost connection and I have notification that I don't have internet, either this is Instagram, chrome or Asphalt 9. But photos are great, outstanding! I was take shot in pro mode, night Photo in pro mode is great, for example I was put my phone on bench on bus stop and lean phone vertically on bus stop rail and hold is in fixed position, set exposure to 32 second and it was been amazing, it looks like pro photo of street with light trail's.

MarcoPolo, 15 Jun 202044-47 degrees CPU and 41-43 degrees battery.41-47 C battery, there is no cpu sensor so you can't tell that this is from cpu.

Bogdan, 15 Jun 2020Another issue with this model I had experienced last days. ... moreSomebody from my local forum experienced that sensor issue (only one person). Better to pursue for warranty RMA, definitely a faulty sensor. Btw, you're funny saying that this phone is good only gaming but nothing else. If some devices good for gaming, then it should be great for everything else. In gaming, any potential of the phone are used while any other apps will use much less resources.

Darkmind, 15 Jun 2020It's worthy using this phone more than a year? The only reason to make this phone a garbage is 5G. As long as the 5G not became common, 2-3 years later this phone is still good at least for daily usages.

This is a very beautiful phone with a powerful gaming performance for a midranger. I have one. Forest green colour. I play call of duty almost every day on this phone. Heating is normal in all phones. You will not regret it unless you buy a faulty device

Does this phone has overheating issues? Which is the max temperature it can reach at CPU and battery?

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2020CNET: "Unless there's some technical flaw with your battery... moreSure of course, if you experience any heating at all during charging you are damaging the battery no matter what anyone has to say and that is most of the times what is going on despite all the bla bla blah.

I have read someone in the industry accepting the fact but saying that the damage would not be significant in the expected lifetime of the device. I love the "expected lifetime" part of the statement.

This is an industry that lives on people updating their phones as frequently as possible if you don't want to hear lies, after all we don't have removable batteries anymore and the phones are glued to death even if they are not meant for water resistance. Try to wake up a little buddy.

The problem in this case, is that Redmi Note 8 Pro is not a faulty model. Is actually very good viewed and a lot of people praise it. That is why I bought it. I needed a cheap phone for gaming.
If I would have added a few euros more, I would have got the Honor 20, a much better phone, but the USA ban on Huawei scare me in buying it. Now, I think I would have better took that gamble.
