Yes, you will get the MIUI 13 update in this way, but be aware that this build was not released globally in its full capacity, was halted after a number of bugs were reported by users, so this may not be your best bet. Personally, I'd rather wait for a full-fledged global release, and this may even include a stable MIUI 14 update as announced a few days ago for the Redmi Note 9S.

After using my phone over 2 yrs updated to Miui12.5, got a glitch the sd card cannot be read only one sim readed and if open the sim tray then put it back my phone restarts and glitch cannot swipe or anything else😭😭 is it a sign for a deadboot please help meeee

have this since september 2020 no issues. much better with ram extension might replace this with techno pova 4 lol.

Talking about the Cons...
1st one is known by everyone and I haven't faced the 2nd one yet. You're not alone if I talk about the 3rd Con. 4th and 5th... haven't seen it yet, and 6th, I wish it had.

I am using this phone for 2 whole years and here is my conclusion:
Pros:
Absolutely Durable phone and long lasting battery, 1 day of usage and I still have 50-55% at the end of the day.
Just got the Miui 13/android 12 Update and all those bugs which the phone initially had are no more.
Absolutely no lag or hang what so ever. the hardware packed with this model is top notch never lags or stutters in any way.( I never have reset this device since I purchased)
Powerful main sensor camera, has a very good potential if the software adjustment is correct.
Cons:
No further update after android 12 this is the last one for this model .
Camera has issues where when opened will present with an error to retry after 3 seconds this goes upto 2-3 times more until the camera opens ( maybe my own model issue).
Has an issue with the ambient sensor where in sun light it will amp the screen contrast up to make clear but if you turn the screen off when this happens it will get stuck even in low light, the brightness will be low but the colors will be very high contrast. have to set it back by flashing a bright light into the sensor and then moving it away.( I complained this to Xioami but Maybe again my own mobile hardware issue) .
Wifi will sometimes disconnect automatically and wont connect until i do(very rare).
Phone proximity issue as many have stated. it will turn on the headset without placing it over ears.
Wish it had amoled ( that would be super cool)

Anyone have solution for the sound issues for this phone?
Phone calls only work properly on speaker phone, and experienced this after and since the second update, several months ago...
Phone will goes loud speaker mode by itself for each calls, and the caller hear echo until I switch the phone to proper speaker phone mode. When I ran the *#*#64663#*#* test with sim card in place the phone behave the same, but without the sim card the phone works fine!

One of the best phones from Xiaomi so far. I have had it for one year and 8 months and it is still working fine with an average screen on time of 10 to 11 hrs. I
No Samsung phone in the same category can match this phone in terms of reliability to be honest.
Xiaomi phones are highly underrated.

This battery drain issue in the update version that you're using has been reported to Xiaomi and is being fixed as we speak, you can read about it on Xiaomi's Community/Forum website. So, my guess is once the upcoming update version is released, your battery life should return to normal, in addition to other improvements and bug fixes. I've been using my Note 9s for over 2 years, and battery life is still great.

Anyway, i updated my phone by downloading the miui 13 update via Xiaomifirmwareupdater website since it was taking too long to receive it normally through the phone itself. I'm on global version currently on 13.0.2 and it's been excellent to me so far. Battery life has probably decreased by maybe 1.5hr less of screen on time but I've had my phone for nearly two years now ao that's to be expected
