AnonD-201598, 30 Jul 2016As I previously commented on gsmarena I had a Vibe X2, and ... moreI dont find performance difference in newer MTK and QC devices. However, I do find a general lack of source code for MTK devices. However I also find some specifics like 6595/6572 and helio series supported by development, although less than the QC devices. Remember the Sony Xperia Neo V or V ? Most devices dont even have that much support yet, including Qualcomms.

AnonD-553886, 30 Jul 2016What r u talking about man? MTK device is very respectable ... moreAs I previously commented on gsmarena I had a Vibe X2, and after one year and 3 months the wifi started to malfunction, so I had to buy a new phone. I bought LeTV One Pro, with Snapdragon 810. Snapdragon 810 is not as a bad SOC as people are complaining, the smartphone overheats sometimes, but having a 3000mAh battery I manage to get easly one day and I'm quite satisfied with that, but it overheats much more than MT6595 which was 28nm. It scores about 90K in Antutu, but it barely equals MT6595 in Vellamo and loses in Kraken (which it finishes in 5500ms vs 4500ms). Overall I didn't notice any lag in any of the devices.
After having 2 Mediatek SOCs and now a Qualcomm I don't quite get it what is this with this Mediatek bashing that I keep reading. I have bought and will buy whoever offers the most performance at about ~200$, Mediatek or Qualcomm.

Dont buy this mediatek variant, eventually Xiaomi will release the snapdragon variant. You should patiently wait for it.

Xristos, 29 Jul 2016hello everyone. i want your opinion on this. which one is b... moreBoth are great, but it depends on how well the Redmi Pro's battery life is. I think we'll find out soon if GSMArena gets one to review. Last time, they benchmarked the MT version of the Redmi Note 3 soon after it came out.

The Helio X20 and SD650 are pretty close in performance. The Pro's cameras are definitely better.

It comes down to the price, and the Pro is a bit more expensive, but has more RAM and memory at some options.

EDIT: By the way, it seems like the Pro uses an OLED display, so I'd call that a bonus as well.

MTK device is very respectable at antutu OK I agree with it. BUT, the real life performance is bad yknow. That's right! Deca-core ten cores right! This phone would surely have performance, 4050 mAh battery, oh better men! It ratter seems the less popular phone manufacturers do better batteries. Welldone.

MTK is like Apple, being bashed and roasted by SD fans that are comparable to Samsung fanboys, that's why it's useless defending MTK against SD, PowerVR, and Twister is in the same spot as MTK in the GPU area also
