tez, 19 Feb 2012i have cynanogen 7.0.3 which sucks,,,,,il be going for fish... morecyanogen 7.0.3??..lol...tez have you tried cyanogen 7.1 rc 1...cyanogen 7.0.3 is history..yesterday's news..talking about autorotate, with cm 7.1 you can rotate in any direction you want even upside down..the radio is working fine..
everything works!!

Wonderful cellphone for the price. The ram has a hardware limitation of 256Mb so cannot be unlocked. The display resolution is amazing. Works wonderfully if upgraded to gingerbread 2.3 by using the Moldovan High Mountain Pie Rom. Cyanogenmod also works but the camera doesnt work because the drivers for the chinese/ Idea Blade are missing, hoping for an integration of drivers soon. Definitely a phone worth having.

i installed cynanogen 7.0.3 and
1.no autorotate
2.no radio
3.sound quaity is great
4.good graphics
5.fast
I generally think it sucks,,,,im not in the mood to update .im going for the fish and chips,,,

Ist - IDEA Blade - It is ZTE Blade and same as DELL xcd35 .
It has TFT capacitive screen - not almond or LCD touchscreen in INDIA .. and There are two
models USA and CHINA (check ZTE blade wiki and search DELL XCD by ctrl + f key )
is a pure
chinese model.

IInd - IDEA ID-280 It is Huawei U8180 IDEOS X1 and it is also chinese phone .

IIIrd - DOCOMO IDEOS . It is Huawei U8150 IDEOS and it is also chinese phone.
Which is better - in my view PRICE wise and operator's benefit wise - IDEA ID-280 is good .
These phones can upgraded to 2.2 officialy , and 2.3 too but unofficialy .. Do this after completing warrenty period ( for gingerbread ) .

excellent phone. beats lots of phones of even price higher than it. i got this in india with name idea bladefor rs 7600.
except video recording of 15fps everything is awesome. if your going for phone of even 9 or 10k i would recomend to even go much higher by 5k+ or get this phone. it has bass suitable woofers :)

In india it released in idea blade with android froyo(2.2), i have one doubt, can i play the hd games without lags in current (2.2) version of idea blade.

the clockworkmod image

download and extract all these files..
first you need to root..use universal androot..just click root and it'll do a temporary root..
install the recovery manager and the extract the clockworkmod image from latest.zip file.
Launch Recovery Manager from the App Drawer
Allow the Recovery Manager App to have Superuser Rights..if the recovery force closes just re-root..
tap the Recovery tab – Choose Install Recovery
select the image you had extracted and it will install clockworkmod recovery..
use the recovery manager to boot into recovery(there is that option somewhere in there)

the instructions at sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk have changed a bit...the files I used are not there anymore..but I have them..just email me at konect2me at ovi dot com and I will send them to you together with the instructions..or you can skip the back up and proceed with the upgrade(not recommended)..

tez, 11 Feb 2012actually Ive just learnt all that in the sanfransisco uk si... morethere are several gingerbread roms..blade mix 360/365,gingerstir fly,moldovian high mountains,fish and chips...but cyanogen in my view offers better features and is more stable..
there is also an official gingerbread for gen 3 blades..some guys who've managed to convert to gen 3 say its quite good..but converting to gen 3 is hectic..not worth it right now..am sure a port to gen 2 is on the way..
there is also an ice cream sandwich port to the blade though its in early stages..you can try it but its not for everyday use..

tez, 11 Feb 2012actually Ive just learnt all that in the sanfransisco uk si... morecm 7.1 ..does it for me..its not the fastest rom out there but everything works..but you can download all of them and try each for a couple of days..there is also a 7.2..although not an official cm rom..its a modded one based on the 7.1..
so have you managed to install the first clockworkmod and backup your current rom or do you want with that?..the procedures are quite safe as long you download the correct files..its important to backup just in case something doesn't work out..
