Ok no worries ended up trying it is just able to be done on gen 2 handset but hey it puts you on 2.3.7 it does look great.

Hi all.
This is more of a query than anything.
there has now been an update to cyanogenmod 7.1 for the blade.
i am assuming like the custom roms available for this handset from Cyanogemod the handset needs to be a gen 2 handset am I right in thinking this?

I bought this phone too. I rooted it. Put another bootloader (ClockworkMod) on it,and flashed a 2.3 image (Ginger Stir Fry v2.6b)
Works good.Mmeory left is low (about 117MB)
Lotta phone for less money.

the battery sucks... the cooling system for this gadget is poor...
few minutes browsing makes the unit HOT
battery have small life period just 2hrs, the battery got drain

WOW, if I were you I wouldnt ever said that this phone bla bla, look its so amazing using 3.5in WVGA AMOLED still in my country it price not even $118
