nubia to upgrade Red Magic 3 with Snapdragon 855 Plus
Who would’ve expected the gaming smartphone battles will get that fierce? Just days after the announcement from Asus that the new ROG Phone will come with Snapdragon 855 Plus, ZTE’s subsidiary nubia said it will update its Red Magic 3 handset with the latest Qualcomm SoC as well.
In an announcement on Weibo, the Red Magic account said it isn’t afraid of challenges and the trends change so quickly, its latest gaming smartphone will be “soon” upgraded to Snapdragon 855 Plus.
Questions remain if the current Red Magic 3 will get a price cut and remain available alongside the new version or if it will be replaced, but we guess we'll get our answers in due time.
Earlier we heard vivo also preparing an updated iQOO with 5G connectivity, which looks like another candidate to receive the Snapdragon 855+.
Xiaomi, another player on the gaming phone scene, launched two Black Shark devices last year and with the Black Shark 2 already out, we wouldn’t be surprised to see another variant around October, this time with Snapdragon 855 Plus.

Well good to hear compared to a ROG phone Nubia red magic cost 3 times less. First and last edition of a rog phone cost 1800 bucks with all features.

+1 Bring real good 8k, real good 4kp60 and p50. There is not one phone that does this, even though many could do at least great 4k, but are artificially restricted. If you want to be legends, do this.
