complete nonsense!!!! BUUU SAMsung! Nexus S has 1GB of memory for apps, and SGS has 2!!!! I'm selling my SGS and going for NS! BU Samsung! We're not STUPID!

Non sense.
I installed yesterday the community made ICS port for the Galaxy S and runs even better then Samsung´s original 2.3.5.

The good thing I am seeing after a very very long time here is the respect and good name Sony Ericsson is getting regarding this "issue". :)
Better luck next time Samsung, maybe they will think to reduce their number of devices now. They have made a good name all over during short time but let see if they will push their "support" to better. I hardly hear good words about their supports.

Its nothing new when it comes to upgrading from samsung they are literally ripping consumers off, take all the other phones and the proposed updates it never materialised omnia , wave etc consumers should stop buying these products

Samsung is saying about fragmentation here.
Because of too many versions of galaxy S in different regions.
Nexus runs STOCK ANDROID so it is getting update.
Even old 3GS supports iOS 5 and runs games like infinity blade 2 with 256 MB RAM.
Samsung is too lazy to develop Galaxy S its pathetic really.
They made too many customizations for Sgs and now unable to update blaming that it's fragmented. Nexus S got updated.
Sarcasm : android is not fragmented its the king it supports updates of phones for 5 years.

Its quite funny.. because if Nokia can push the Belle update and Carla next year on the N8 which has 256MB RAM and 680Mhz ARM11 processor and it runs perfectly better(mine installed), it is quite a Shame if Samsung cant do that with Galaxy S, which has Cortex A8/512 RAM....
Either Samsung is useless or Android is crap(which I dont think so)....
SE is upgrading the ICS in all of its models which has similar specs......
So Sammy sucks ....as usual..always..

Just when those basher talk about Nokia N8 getting their Belle update late, I mean i can understand low end phone like Galaxy Y or Mini not getting ICS update, but SGS which is their flagship 18 months ago ? come on !
My guess is that Samsung want to make you bought a new phone from them every year.
I have put SGS+ in my shopping list next week, now it is definately out of my list.
