Google don't earn a single cent from either OS or App , but they just get rich from advertisement & users get free app . That's why I like the small green robot .

I think Android currently lead because of its broad functionality (lots of useful and popular apps and wide price range), so people dont really mind about a bit of bug and lags here and there. WP is still young and developing, lets just hope microsoft can do better than now. iOS? well...its a mature and highly efficient OS, but i guess people are starting to expect more from it, i hope Apple listens, hehe. Point is, its always good to have choices, so lets hope that these OS's get better and better :)

hardware can lie, software cannot! like you said apple quality is good no doubt! just like A6 chip, the most powerful chipset in smartphone world and its not lie cous if you use an iphone 5 you will see that iDevices dont need so much hardware support unlike other android, windows phone, bb, symbian etc... out there that even it is octa-core it will lag as hell! iDevices is stable OS enough, no need so much hardware support. i dont want to comment about androids benchmark CHEATING issues just read the news about it. atleast apple never lied about that spec. sheet

Android is an open platform. It could do most anything - change skin UI, perform to be optimum or populated with so much apps simultaneously, and for the those who want highly costumed behaviors - you can use apps like Tasker to make your Android device run automatically on certain hardware or software triggers. It's practically writing your own app.
All yours can do is probably what limitations of a very basic mobile device can preform, so it can run the UI animations faster.

all device using hangdroid , even cheap china phone also using android , theres lots of android device in this world.
only not using android , apple ,nokia and blackberry. cause they have their own os. except nokia. but good thing nokia not using android . if all phone using android , theres nothing special. everything is same.
