The camera they have now is fine, all they need now is IOS and better low light (without flash) photos and Samsung is set for another year of total dominance in the smartphone market.

Well I hope samsung sort something out coz there camera on my note 3 is poor in low light and very slow shutter speed, maybe its just a software issue which im hoping but ill have to wait for someone to mod that in order to find out what is the issue but for now its a useless camera, I have to hold the camera so steady and the object cant move, the focus is useless aswell

I'm not a fan of Galaxy S series, but all the S flagships i.e, S II, S III, S IV, have had better cameras compared to their rival flagships from other OEMs. This ISOCELL tech is only going to push the limits further, which is a good thing.
Sony can definitely learn a thing or two from Samsung regarding the cameras on flagships.

Like or not, sooner or later nobody could live without Samsung.
High quality camera module, super fast SoC, amazing screen, decent battery life, enhanced software.....we can find them all only in Samsung Galaxy S and Note series. Samsung is catalyst, other are followers.
Go Sammy, just eat the chunk of Apple and Blackberry.

Great pics from downsized shots to 5MP is what we all use most of the time. If it's 16MP with good intelligent downsizing like Nokia's oversampling or Sony's Superior Auto, then that works a treat. MP battle is great if the sensor size is large enough to reduce noise and improve IQ and do good down sampling. Even a superb shot at pure 38MP is just impractical to use often. Maybe great for the proper pro photographers but then again they would go with the Canons and Nikons.

And if the 8MP can put a huge damper on the current 12MP champs and rival the tech of the newer 20Mp then maybe. But the 16MP sounds nicer....But then again that is a MP battle. I would rather a superior 8MP in the end..OR a superior 16 with down scaling like others do.

According to Sony fans Samsung is a horrible thieving company because they might use Samsung made cameras as opposed to Sony one's.....Which is somehow immoral? Because people buy Sony sensors now.....Even though Samsung made their own for all other generations and devices except about two generations of Galaxy..

If there is no OIS or something superior the potential of a great sensor goes mostly wasted. Your hand no matter what is not going to be steady enough for good exposure lengths, unless of course you are a robot.
Good to know 16MP ISOCELL is in the works but it's only 8MP ISOCELl for S5?!
