But almost all the mobile patents that apple own are from other companies anyway, they spent billions buying up any patents they could find and even ones they could not, anyway in my view it's actually the American patents office that are at fault surely, when a new device enters the market it has to go through various patent,security, certificate and a multitude of other checks before being given the ok, surely once it arrives in the USA for testing and checking all the paperwork must accompany it giving a low down of hardware, software etc this type of thing must be spotted, ok before anyone says. Maybe it does not go down to how all it's software works but come on, in the past there have been tons of hardware related issues from build quality and materials to icon locations to shapes to buttons etc. it is boring, and surely must be picked up somewhere along the line before production starts......

Im sick of this patent/royalties game... if a group of children can intentionally collaborate and each make a different looking drawing so the teacher won't punish them.. how difficult should it be do just all educated people sit down and agree on who has and should have copyright on what and then others just not do it the same way?
I think the system is set up in a way that doesn't allow practicality.. and a bunch of village people can set up a better system.
