Expertise, 03 Mar 2014Are you serious?? ? China - Asia Samsung - Asian So... moreAre you serious, since when is China the definition of Asia?

    China=/=Asia

    Samsung - Korean
    Sony - Japanese
    HTC - Taiwanese
    LG - Korean
    Meizu - Chinese

And yes most chinese manufacturers have buggy software with fatal flaws, Meizu and Oppo are ones of the few from China who can actually make decent phones

Sensors of this size with 10-12 megapixels would give many benefits.
          Nikon p330/cannon s120/ sony rx100 for example.
Having bigger sensor doesn't mean you have to go megapixel crazy.
Anything above 10MP and you start making compromises here and there. All you get is more detail for when you zoom in deep into the photo.

I have a ZTE Blade G and ZTE Nubia Z5, both phones outperform their rivals all while costing double less.

You have to be very uneducated or an ignorant individual from the US or perhaps both to claim what you claimed.

China and Korea are worlds leaders in technology manufacture! And just because it wasn't made in your country doesn't mean the quality is bad, in fact it is the opposite. Even Vertu is made out of parts manufactured in Asia...

I'm from a background of HTC and I'll continue to use HTC. Camera is not important because phone camera can easily be detected. what matters is how fast a phone is and being able to be satisfied by that phone. Which phone has the best and most spoken camera? No phone. All are average. HTC M8 here I come

AnonD-214929, 03 Mar 2014Nope. I mean the overlook of the photo seems better on phot... moreBoth yes and no. More megapixels are worth nothing if the sensor is crap... Most cameras have bigger sensors (and often better lens, depending on the manufacturer) than phone cameras so oftentimes photos they take are mostly better than a phone's. (I said most because some phones have sensors bigger than a normal point and shoot camera).

Try resizing them to the same resolution and see if they both have the same quality. (ie., noise, depth of field, contrast, color, etc etc...)

the colour cast is highly noticeable but it isn't as bad as the 808s red/magenta cast on the right side of images when the sensor gets hot and this is rectifiable, easily, in post so i am getting more excited

But I am very excited for this either way, hopefully the quality can match the 808 pureview and ideally best it.
I hope this isn't a case of tiny sensor with large mpx.

Oppo is turning up the heat on the old regular OEMs and i am seriously considering the Find 7...i hope they introduce both models in the US market. We have seen flagships from Sammy and Sony, now lets see what HTC and Oppo has for us later this month. Some of us have to decide on a device soon...too bad LG G3 and Moto X2 flagships won't make it till later in Q3 or Q4, by then most of us will be on Nexus 6 watch.
