    hi im in africa ghana. my samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9505 was sent to me from usa. i was using it nicely,, after 3 month of using the phone.. it went off by itself. and up till now i try everything possible but still the phone wont come on. please can somebody tell me what to do with it? my email (yungcidy233@gmail.com)

      After 4.3 update, my s translator seems to stop working. It always gives me "unknown error" message despite of strong internet connection either wifi or 3G/LTE.

            I just downloaded Android 4.3. When i bought this phone on may web browsing was around 8 hours. Afterwards the phone updated again and again. After latest update i play strategy game only 1.5 hour. Web browsing only 4 hours.. I will ever going to buy samsung again. This is just god damn cheating my money. Nothing more...

That's ridiculous. That's standard Android privacy policy stuff. The NSA isn't concerned about the everyday citizen downloading something like a cooking app or texting his friends for sport scores.

                    Thanks for your reply. Come to think everytime I go to google play, I do get message saying allow access to modifications, store to MicroSD card, use location etc...

                    But is this stupid spyware problem just with samsung as its the top leading phone manufacturer?

                    Hopefully not, when you said your next will not be a samsung. I was looking at youtube videos of the note 3 and the android firmware version says 4.3 (not 4.3.0012).

                    Dont forget that people all over world have the note 3, s4 and other new Samsung phones and with contracts.

                    But they all unware of whats going on. I feel so sorry for them. They will be angry and complain to samsung and will be on the newspaper and on tv. Samsung will lose profit and sales like blackberry.

                    I'm glad you and others said about the spyware crap which is wrong. why are androids draining batteries and causing now begin to spy on people I wonder.

                    Hope im making sense here, not the brightest. I didnt know NSA stands for that. Im from the UK.

                      Read my post further down the page, and then ask yourself "Why is the American NSA (National Security Agency), writing software for this phone?
                      Do you really think that it is for YOUR benefit? Were you concerned about the security of your data (emails, contacts, text messages)on your phone before? NO. Did you ask for this sort of app on your phone? NO. So why is it there?
                      Perhaps I'm being paranoid. Perhaps I shouldn't worry about an app that can:
                      'read phone status and identity'
                      'prevent phone from sleeping'
                      'read your text messages (SMS or MMS)'
                      'edit your text messages'
                      'read email attachments'
                      'directly call phone numbers'
                      'record audio'
                      'send emails to guests without owners knowledge'
                      'create accounts and set passwords'
                      There are more, the list just goes on and on.
                      I didn't ask for this on my phone, and I certainly don't want it on there; but there is no uninstaller.
                      My next phone will definitely NOT be a Samsung because of this invasion of privacy.

                        Is that for other samsung phones including Note 3? Sure hope not, cause im planning to upgrade at christmas.

                            Ha.. Ha.. Ha.. LOVED your comment "just be careful NOT to talk politics or UNCLE SAM ..". This from someone who lives in "The Land of the Free".
                            Personally I don't care if the NSA wants to track my movements and know what supermarket I buy my bread from; what I object to is that Samsung are forcing that technology on us without our permission.

                              yes -no noticeable difference after update to 4.3.0012- oo12 is the SPYWARE version - just had free upgrade to internet explorer version 11 - on laptop- with SPYWARE as per USA NSA POLICY .. personally not bothered ..just be careful NOT to talk politics or UNCLE SAM ..

                                The only difference you will notice is the SPYWARE Samsung have forced on S4 owners. Believe me, you are better off without it.

                                      are you unhappy after update 4.3? do you want remove knox from your beloved galaxy s4? here i brought you a method/trick to remove your knox parmanently...
                                      main benefits of using this method are:

                                      advantage:
                                      - fully rooted/patched
                                      - knox free (software level)
                                      - no need for insecure kernels.
                                      - complete, odin flashable packages.
                                      - can be used on non-rooted devices, that means no need root to before flash,
                                      - binary flash counter will not increase
                                      - only 1 file and you have a complete firmware including root permission.

                                      disadvantage:
                                      - system/device - custom

                                      before flash plz enable usb debugging,
                                      to enable usb debugging go to settings>more>about device> tap 5 times on build number,developer option build there, open it enable developer options and enable usb debugging, enjoy...
