The pearl is great. Go to gemblock.com or crackberry and get loads of stuff for the pearl 8100. I downloaded the color trackball app, the multiple alarm app, games and theme. all free. Also you can make your own rig=ngtone using audacity. Do a search on youtube for blackberry hacks or tips thats how i learned my phone. ENJOY. i used that today for 12 hr, i is good for style, but not gggod for basic use, rubish sound qulaity, ringtone low, settigns complicated not suitable for students, other officials, only for them who usse emails frequently.

you have to change the file location of where it usually saves to. so if you have a memory card you have to change it to that for pictures go to the camera and press the left button beside the ball and go to options and change it there.

If you are into style and have a handbag to keep the phone in (cuz only my female friends have one and keep it well secure) then this is the phone for you.
If you are a put in your pocket, go to the club kinda person consider something else.
If you want style, business-ish impress your friends AND REASONABLY TOUGH get an iPhone
or just get an inexpensive Nokia they last long
Personally I've never wanted to aquire one of these... but someone gave me as a gift, it worked fine for all of 6 hours then I got a "white screen of death" you will probably find alot of stories about that around the web.
I never dropped it but maybe the person who was giving me did.
Given all of that... I don't think I'll invest any money in any model Blackberry

ok so i bought this phone 2 weeks ago and i make sure to delete large emails and and i set my msgs to delete every 15 days. so tell me why in spite of all this, the phone still keeps deleting all my text msgs and call log. it's very annoying. and also, the battery that came with it would only last half a day so i had take my charger everywhere with me. then i got a new battery and the same thing happens! disappointed.
