@ Vanessa
If you have bought a unlocked phone you need to set it up to mms and sms. Call the place you bought it from or go on there web sit and look for the settings for your carrier

you will NOT be able to access the internet, your network provider home page or to send MMS messages without first registering your phone with Blackberry and also contacting your network to make your tariff useable for blackberry services.
i have just gone through this process with
O2 UK as this is my 1st blackberry and it was really straight forward

Hi. I noticed someone mentioned you cant make the phone vibrate & ring at the same time. Is there a script or app that allows u to do so? or is there a way you can create a ringer on your computer and add vibration to it and upload to the bb. would it work?
thanks

well... i have had this phone for a week now and i have to say i love it !
i tried the sony P990 for a week but it was just so big and clumsy with its stylus that i had to send it back.
to anyone who has purchased a blackberry pearl, upon first use,my initial reaction was to send it straight back as the menus all looked so complicated but believe me, if you read the instruction book and take a few days to get to know your phone you will be rewarded with a great , easy to use device.
having read lots of the comments on this phone, a regular item that keeps appearing is that it wont recieve bluetooth files sent from another phone. the correct way to do this isnt immediately obvious.
eg to transfer a photo from another phone, go to the 'media' option on the blackberrys menu, go to 'pictures',press the blacberry button to show the options and then select 'recieve using bluetooth'.
then send the photograph from the other phone and the blackberry will recieve the file.
do likewise for other files you want to send.
brilliant phone !
