I am posting this from my desire hd. Pros are it is quick and the screen is big. Cons are it is too big (i'd opt for same specs, smaller screen) and the battery life is terrible. When i saw the small battery I knew it was going to be bad. About half a day or a whole day if you don't use anything and turn off background data.
Coming from an x1, iphone4 & iPhone 3gs I'd say the old desire is a better competitor because of the smaller dimensions and better battery. Iphone4 is good but it's itunes and the closed system that annoys me.

Best Phone Ever! The battery problem is non-existent in South African with medium/heavy use I still managed to get nearly 2 days which is amazing for the type of power the phone should draw. Have to admit that i was clever enough to limit data wastage. Great phone highly recommend it!

guyz i want to buy this phone
the thing that bugs me is that i heard that its battery has many issues and also the speaker volume is too low....
please guyz give me a suggestion that i buy a new Desire or a new Desire HD or a used Iphone 4?
my usage is very much and my old 3gs used to give me a battery time of 1.5days

why is it im having a hardtime looking for the service center of the htc mobile phone and at the same time my htc desire is broken already i bought it last september 2010? can someone help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Open ur browser den GoTo settings>enable plugins and select on demand..
this will increase ur battery life alot.. :)

raviva, 21 Feb 2011Battery sucks man! with 1230mA hardly works one day. bette... moreOne good way to resolve the battery problem is go to settings>Sound and then untick the 'Vibrate Feedback'. Also you can reduce the display brightness to save power.

How can I explain how good this phone is. So far I have used 10 different phones including 3 smart phones. But this one is far beyond my imagination. Except the poor battery power(runs only 12 hours with extensively high use) this phone is comparable to nothing. I am more satisfied with it than Iphone4.
