Add these applications to your handset:
1) Translator - it translates to different languages
2) Handcent SMS - far better compared to the conservative sms application. Lots of settings ex: emoticons and etc.
3) Angry Bird - addictive game - the birds shooting the pigs

regarding the Con... moreRe mp3 for contacts .... yes, you can I did it to mine. Create another folder and name it like Music or whatever you uploaded back to your mobile phone save it under ring tone or music folder not in notification folder (that's for your sms notifications).
Then reboot your mobile phone then click on add ring tone. You will your additional mp3 music that you just uploaded. Then you can use that as your ring tone for that particular contact. Have fun.

Android vs symbian - as a symbian user all my life and a recent convert to froyo, the first reaction is that android is simply so intuitive. Much easier to use, fewer menus and miliion more apps.

Android doesn't support DRM protected audio and video files
Both supported by Symbian
Is there anything which Android has and Symbian doesnt?? besides Flash 10 support in browser and nice UI.

how to assign ring tone for contact from mp3 tons. cos when i go to contacts>edit>assign tone, only appears which is in the phone & cant select (new ring tones) unlike the normal ring tone, you can choose from mp3!!!
