thaied, 20 Jul 2016Nice. thats the way it should be but I get no msg's no popu... moreIn that case, download LG Bridge first from LG website and install. Then connect G5 thru USB to PC. LG Bridge will automatically install USB Drivers.

Further, when you connect G5 to PC, then in G5, pull down notification bar and you will see the message :
Charging only - Tap to change the USB Connection.

Tap on that message and then remaining options appear.

    Dont blame Lg for this matter maybe you bought the refurbished / use / defected g5 tberefore you encountered this problem

      G5 H860. I get a lg.com support msg asking me for cam plus modle and Imei no's.
      They come back and say ""take it to the Riyadh Saudi store where I"m at presently. They have no clue as thats why I"m online to get support !

      Found the LG Smarltworld apk download site does not work. My phone widget connnected says; it only works with LG phones. YES.!!- I'm on a g5 phone and its not recognized. !! Everyone with a G5 should get on the smartworld web site. It will be the first and last time !

      For travelers; would you not expect to get on any LG web site and fine your phone model. Not here !

        What web site comes up to give win10 usb drivers ?

        i had to get the developer mode selection turned on with usb debugging on and all other options that should allow syncing to a pc etc.

          I can't sync, tethere or get an apk's thru my pc.

          2. I found out also there are 2 models of the Cam Plus since mine is not working. Also the apks or software versions can't be upgraded with any usb connection to the phone; unlike any other phone.
          3. Getting the developer mode options turned on is quite a treat !! not one mention on an LG web site or in the manual. That must be on to usb into your pc for any sync''ing and installing new apps.

              Got mine for £290 off eBay. Brand new, sealed box, unwanted upgrade. Can't fault it. I think it looks good, I don't use a case or anything. Had a note 4 before so its got some big boots to fill. Batterys better than I thought it would be and the screen isn't as dim as I expected.
              I miss touchwiz though. I miss the extra features it offered. I find the LG UI a bit simplistic but still very pleased with my purchase. Put a 128gb sd card in so got loads of space for my music and porn collection.

                  As soon as you plugin Mobile will also popup a message that it is in changing mode connected. TAP to change and select File Tansfer on Mobile.

                    great phone but support is not there . Web site does not show the LGH860 usb drivers.
                    Not even have this new model listed. loading the 850 usb driver gives errors so no way to see your phone on a pc. .
                    Support questions on the web site go for over a week without replies. !

                      can't get the cam plus working. buttons have no effect. NO replies from LG.com web site nor any facebook site. How can this new super phone not have any support or replies to queries. ?

                          Quick review after a week:
                          (Have put G5 in a tough grippy £10 case with a kickstand, now not as slippery so harder to drop!)

                          Very fast, no lag
                          Very good auto focus on camera
                          Wide angle mode on camera is excellent although you get fish eye effect at edges, hopefully LG or Adobe release a fix?
                          Screen offers realistic colours but is not as bright outdoors as my previous phones (Note 4, Moto X 2nd gen etc)
                          So so battery life so I keep charger in bag.
                          USB-C is great as is fast charging.
                          Camera photos are sharp but look like those from a Sony camera, a bit mushy on closeup. Prefer Samsung images TBH!
                          Manual camera controls very flexible.
                          Ability to add controls (such as notifications panel toggle) to main nav strip is v useful. Unique to LG.
                          Fingerprint login is great.
                          Miss rear volume controls of my G3 but I guess that is to avoid accidental activation fingerprint login? (Only requires a touch)
                          FM Radio a nice bonus, didnt know G5 had one!
                          Not tried 4K video yet.
                          Call quality much improved since LG software update.
                          Signal reception way better than my last few phones. For a metal phone, v clever.
                          No crashes etc yet.
                          Have inserted a 64GB microSD card for extra memory if travelling away from connectivity for cloud upload of photos etc.
                          Not a very pretty phone and I doubt I will use Friends modules. Case it if you don't like design, like I have.
                          Miss wireless charging, had a wireless back on Note 4, and had a G3 once too.
                          Am waiting for Note 7, but if I can work out how to improve camera images may keep G5.
                          G5 is starting to fall to £400 here in UK (Vodafone & online) so is now very good value for such a well specified 32GB device!

                              It is normal design phone when I see it on photos. Now I have it.But it is really beautiful design phone. It design better than galaxy s7(not s7 edge). S7's beauty is that edge screen only.

                                  need advice, want to buy g5 but what's with overheating issues that somebody mentioned here and with signal loss and hanging up in the middle of the call? i have that troubles with lenovo so don't want the same thing again...thank you

                                    Nice phone. Totally pleased with it. I had a deal impossible to refuse when deciding which phone to get, but turned out to be very happy with the thing. No regrets whatsoever. Waiting for Rolling Bot now.

The cam plus also have speaker built in, and can be charged alone without having the module on the phone.
