When you want to buy a phone, consider brand, spare parts, easy access to plenty of users so that you also learn how to maximize the device and also solve some minor issues.
I advise you go for G5. The Friends of G5 also add colour and fun to your device. With My Cam Plus on, the G5 turns to anothet monster, with new feelings on your palms. Same goes to the other friends. More friends are coming...
G5 is going for the next version of android too...
My G5 is my LG TV report control. I just love all tge feels.

I hope that in the future, LG will use their own OLED technology on smartphones. Just imagine the quality of display.

i love taking pics ... moreLG G5 - have one and love it.
For pics, it depends. The Zenfone 3 has phase detect autofocus in addition which is good for focusing on subjects that are moving (towards or away from you). Stability is a bit better to with it's OIS being 4-axis where the G5 is 3-axis. However, the lens of the G5 is a bit brighter/faster because of the wider aperture (f/1.8 vs f/2), i.e. better low-light, but more importantly it has a second rear camera with an ultra-wide 135-degree lens. I really like using this, it's great for landscape obviously but also when you're in a really small or crowded place and have no room to walk further away to capture your subject completely.
For gaming, G5 is better for sure - faster/better CPU and GPU plus higher resolution screen.

LG G5 NEW Tip......
I never saw this trick in any review or video online. Very Useful:
Triple click (tap..tap..tap) quickly on your onscreen home button. It will turn the coloured screen to black and white (Greyscale) thus saving a lot of battery when required. No more going into settings..finding greyscale & turning it on and then off-for those who care to use it. Triple tap again to turn colour back on.
It is so convenient that I have started to use it in various long office meetings (when phone on silent) even when I have full/ good battery. Improves my battery efficiency by almost 30%. Earlier I was getting 1.5 days battery..now can extend to 2 full days using this trick.

IPhone 6s . lg ... moreI don't think the iPhone is even comparable (imo).
But the G5 is definitely better than the Sony.
But it's all subjective. It depends on your likes and needs.
I used to be an Apple fanboy. But, I got tired of having to jailbreak MY stuff so I could do what I wanted with it.
All the flagship phones are awesome. You really can't make a mistake buying one but I'm not sure the Sony phone fits into this category. Sorry Sony lovers. And too bad iPhone fools.

i love taking pics ... moreI can't comment personally on any Sony phones. But I know the G5 takes stunning pictures. I really love the wide-angle second shooter. Really! It's the deal maker. Plus, this phone will play any game.
Don't forget about the removable battery (you won't need it).
It also has SD card support up to 2tb. I have a 128gb card in mine I picked up for like $40. I'm not sure about the Sony phone.
The IR blaster is great to have as well.
The screen pops up past 700nits in the bright sun. It's the first gadget I've ever owned that I could use in the sun.
