GSMArena please review this phone, there are many reviews on the net but nothing beats yours. I have ordered it and would be getting it soon. A review from your August panel will be great nonetheless. Thanks

Just one or two questions
Does it come with swype?
What video codecs does it play eg. h.264 mp4 etc?
What is the internal memory reserved for apps?
Seriously considering this phone!

I think 240 hours is just a realistic standby time, whereas other manufacuters just come up with some extreme numbers, achievable only in heavens.

Just been sent this from Vodafone UK, I am not a geek or a techo sado! LOL it what was available on my upgrade.
Hero factor is that its water, dust and scratch resistant. No other smartphone is in the UK. I have broken many phones due to water damage, so its about time someone made a life proof phone. No suprise its Moto, my v3 is still working!! and I have throwen it, drop it, kicked it and even lost it in the snow of last year and had to wait for the big melt before I found it.
Oh no it's not froyo!!! Whatever will we do! Oh thats right we will still be able to download apps, send emails and even make a call. It has features like wifi hotspot which is a froyo service, so not being able to save apps to my sd card is not massive. when the update comes, I will take advantage but i think I can wait.
Further to this its 13mm thin and 113grams with 3.7 touch screen. the phone is small and light compared to other smart phones and this one needs no jacket! LOL
Overall the phone is quick, responsive and the Blur service is very good, everything (Corp email, POP, FB and Twitter for me) is pushed to you. Not having to hit the refresh button is refreshing. Added extra's are the data manager which is highly useful in the UK with no ulimited data plans (You can just sync over wifi)the battery manager is great customise your profile and it really lasts (not like other famous android brands).
Finally the connected media player is awesome, you can buy from amazon and listen to other tune wiki peoples music. Oh and the last point cystal talk plus I stumble across, it really works.... was at the o2 watching a gig and my friend could hear me over the music, I just could hear him LOL.
Hope this helps someone who is looking for some honest advise or oppinion. As there is a lot of rubbish on this comments page. So if your thinking of getting one, and you want work email, personal email, facebook, twitter pushed to your phone, but want it last 24 months of life, then get one!!! its a really good phone and has no let downs.

tictactaylor, 13 Nov 2010This is £300 at cpw. San Francisco on orange is bette... moreReasons why I think you're paying more
for the Motorola Defy than
the San Francisco (ZTE Blade)
at this point in time.
Defy vs ZTE Blade
1.) 16M colours vs 256k colours
2.) 3.7 inc vs 3.5
3.) Gorilla Glass vs. standard glass
4.) 3.5 mm audio jack vs nil
5.) internal 2GB storage vs 150MB
6.) DLNA vs nothing
7.) 5MP & LED flash camera vs 3.15MP no flash
8.) Dude, dip the Defy in a glass of water or
throw it in a pool - it lives and then some.
