I don't recommend this type of cellphone. I had problems with the regular speaker and i was able to hear only with the speaker phone or with the earphones. I sent my phone back to the repair center and it had been 2 months from now without any response from the motorola company. Really bad experience so, i don't recommend it.

Shi, 13 Aug 2011Guys, Planning to buy this phone how is the performance ... moreA great smartphone, I use it since 6 months and really pleased by his quickness and definition, the screen is tough(no scratchs for now) and I'm not using a small pocket to protect it...

The battery is ok to keep it alive 2 days if you don't play games and do little duration calls but if you play a lot you'll have to charge it every day at least, it's not really a problem since you could charge it using usb

A great product battery is 1540 mah lasts for about 6 hours non stop talk time or else about 2 days with moderate use.

Great touch response and has a nice rugged feel to it.just like a swiss knife...
A must buy for any outdoor loving person!!

CAMERA PROBLEM AFTER UPDATE 2.2.2 after this update
I was experiencing problems with the photo not displaying after using the flash and also the scene mode had disappeared from the camera menu, so i did email Motorola Australia and i did get my camera working by following the instructions below, actually mine repaired by clearing the camera catch ect

                    ""Dear Terry,

Thanks for reaching out to Motorola. I’ve reviewed your e-mail and I’m ready to help.

We do apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. The camera application may have not refreshed during the upgrade. You may need to do this manually. Go to Menu, Settings, Application, Manage Applications, All, Camera, Clear data, and Force Stop. Test the camera and the picture on the gallery of the phone again.

Otherwise, power off and on the phone. This will refresh the memory of the phone and may help rectify the issue. After this task, test the camera of the phone again.

If you continue to experience issues and nothing has worked, perform a Factory Data Reset on the phone. Performing a Factory Data Reset will clear the phone's memory and put the phone back to the original factory default state. This is the tool we used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device. Keep in mind, contacts and calendar saved on the phone, third party application software and messages will be erased on the handset when using this feature. Nothing stored on the MicroSD and SIM card will be affected. Your information is automatically backed up on the MOTOBLUR server. Your information will be restored when you login with the same user name and password.

Motoblur is a service that lets you manage your email addresses and social networking accounts. To check your Motoblur account on the phone, go to Menu, Settings, and Accounts. Open Motoblur account and write down your Motoblur ID.

Meanwhile, applications you have recently downloaded are catalogued within the Marketplace application and can be re-installed after the reset by entering the Marketplace application. Open Marketplace application, Press menu hard key, Select Downloads, and select those applications you want to re-download on the phone.

Note: You need third party application software to backup your SMS on the memory card. While we do not endorse or provide support for any third party application software, you may need to download and look for your own software on the Android Market. Please consult the maker of the software for more instruction on how to use their software. Check the contact details of the developer before downloading the software.

To complete the Factory Data Reset:

                    1. From the screen of your phone, open the Applications Tray. (Arrow pointing up located in the middle at the bottom of the display screen)
                    2. Tap Settings.
                    3. Scroll down and tap Privacy.
                    4. Scroll down and tap Factory Data Reset.
                    5. Tap Erase Data.
                    6. Erase Everything.

After the reset, setup your Motoblur account again. You need to have internet connection when settings up the account. You have two options to get internet on the phone. Go to Motoblur front page, press on Menu and you have the option to select either “Setup Wi-Fi” or “Setup APN”. If you are near to any Wi-Fi hotspot, go to the phone Settings, Wireless and networks, check to turn on Wi-Fi, select and connect to Wi-Fi networks. Alternatively, you can use mobile internet by using an Access Point Name settings (APN). To setup APN on the phone, go to Settings, Wireless and networks, Mobile networks, Access Point Names, Menu, and new APN. For more information about APN, please contact your service provider.

After the Motoblur setup, test the camera and the picture on the gallery of the phone. If the issue persists, we request you to visit the nearest Motorola Authorized Service centre, and our technician will check your handset thoroughly and surely assist you further in this regard. I have provided an attachment for the location of our service centres in Australia for your reference.

All Motorola phones have one (1) year standard warranty from the date of purchase specified by the product's serial number and verified by the original proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover defect or damage resulting from liquid ingress, accident and misuse. Standard charges apply for phones that are considered to be outside of warranty.

We hope that you find this information useful and we remain at your entire disposal for future questions you may wish to ask.
