Normal usage will give you less than 14 hours.. and medium usage gives you only 6-8 hours. The main problem I had is MOTOBLUR. Even though it shows on the website that this phone in India has MOTOBLUR, it really doesn't. Also there is no update to 2.2 available. Motorola may never introduce the update, and by that time Android 2.5 will be running. My advice is to buy the Galaxy Ace from Samsung. That's what I did, and I am happy I did it!

I had a hands-on experience of bth Defy and Ace, and boy!! Ace is sick and sluggish wen compare to tis.. Defy outstands Ace in evry aspect.. Any mobile outlets in India which is sellin Defy les than INR 18K?? Please let me knw..

I have this phone since two weeks bought for Rs.17900/- in Mumbai(India)....this handheld is a freaking awesome phone and i can say that as i have used HTC hero, Legend, Samsung G3, LG optimus One(Nice low end phone)....and finally DEFY!!

ALL OF THE ABOVE GAMES WORKS BUTTER....My Brother has samsung galaxy S i9000 and he also has all this games and cost of SGS is RS.27000/- in Mumbai (India) and he envy me as my phone is cheaper than his phone and also have Flash the only thing missing is secondary camera and hopefully Froyo update gets released by MAY 2011....fingers crossed

Hi Everyone...I am planning to buy a good featured mobile phone.
I am stuck between Samsung Wave 2 and Motorola DEFY...Both the mobiles are very good on paper with
their features displayed. I request the users of Samsung Wave2 and Motorola DEFY help me in choosing
the best mobile by sharing your experiences about your mobile phone and help me buy a good mobile.
I want to know about the following things:
1. Battery Life
2. Signal Reception
3. Music and Video (I mean what formats the mobile can play and about clarity in ear peice and
speaker, and clarity of videos played)
4. Camera (how are the pics taken in bright light and in dark using flash, and videos captured)
5. Can we install apps from websites like Getjar, Mobile9, Umnet, ZEDGE etc...
6. How is the touch screen, and keypad on screen for typing.
7. It would be good if I can check my mails also..I mean all my gmail and yahoo mail ect...
Please give me even more details on anything which I may have forgotten to ask, if you wish to, like about
do we have good customer care support etc..
Waiting for you guys to help me out in buying a new Mobile...and this will be my first High End Mobile :-)

The battery life on DEFY ... moreTurn off your GPRS when you don't need it and it'll save you loads of battery life - if you're living in India, data signal will be pretty bad hence the antenna works more. Lol, screen is dull ... use a preferred brightness setting ffs! Lol galaxy 3 is way more expensive that the Defy. Don't buy technology that doesn't suit the infrastructure.

Is the odd display size of 480 x 854 pixels a problem for any apps..
also is 2.2 available with new phone or it needs to be upgraded...does it lag??
also whats the current price in pune,india
and advise if any othr android is better in its price range..
