Yes, it its memory card is bigger and less expensive than what the rokr e1 uses.

what! it says on motorolas website that it will be having SD-cards and not Transflash...

this is an excellent music phone period.
although it only has a 1.3mp camera, apparent comparisons with n3250, sew800i and samsung d600 (all 2mp cam phones) show that the rokr E2 stands out against its supposedly more advanced competitors.
with the termination of the micro sd card which is expensive, motorola has finally come to their senses and replaces it with a more widely used sd card. and for added convinience, a memory card slot is now located at the side of the phone. the phone also boasts a more user friendly linux os.
the not-so-pleasing appearance of the phone can be overlooked with its audio prowess (for, once again, this is a phone for audio maniacs).
hopefully and most likely so, this phone should be rather cheap as compared to 2mp cam phones. and if this gadget comes out with a reasonable price, there is no doubt that the rokr e2 will be successful in the market.
can't wait for this phone to come out!

if its cheap it will be a hit. and probably will be, also this phone is also a smartphone. just the design is not great.
SE userfriendly? theirs its a sea of menus!!. you can't even configure softkeys just the dpad ones. they are copying nokia series 40 v3 now but then again. motorola its at least trying to be original.

comparing with se's (750, 800, 810...), this e2 has no competitiveness. looks not good, radio no RDS, only 1.3MP camera (i don't mind though). the only advantage is using SD card. i also think that it will not be as user friendly as the se's.

I like the way it looks. Like their PEBL. Definitely not for oldies. Aside from form, this phone also has substance! Brilliant display, 1.3MP cam, expandable memory up to 2GB (500 songs), FM radio, equalizer, bluetooth, etc. What more can you ask for in a music phone? Hope they come up with a rugged version of this. It will definitely give the SE W800i a run for its money. I just hope it wont be as expensive.

This phone is ight, but it still needs to have a better look 2 it (but I still can't wait 2 Audio Visual gets, there hands on it, inna Paulo, Dianna, Aaron, and Cisco)

i doubt that Motorola will release this egg on the market. let's hope that they have a brain instead of eggs. it's so damn ugly! waiting for an ROKR E3 :-))

im sorry, the rokr e1 is soooo much cooler than this weird looking egg thing,gosh id rather keep my crappy V171 then buy the e2, im buying the e1 for my birthday at the optus store in aus for $189, muchhh better.

Dis Phone ROCKS.But it is still a lil' bulky.I think it is a value buy.Da camera's fine.But why just don't make it higher megapixel.?

I also have the E398 great phone only prob is the Usb and charger connection its very bad. I have bought a different charger where i have to take out the battery and a bluetooth dongle. The E2 has mini usb and SD up to TWO GIGS thats heaps good hopefully it can play videos in fullscreen mode then it will be a 10/10! :)

hi people, just read a review about E2 on Mobile-review.com. It's great. Camera isnt that bad to view on device. Software on the phone are great without problem.

i've asked motorola australia...it's only expected to be in australia in 2nd quarter of 2006. sigh...i have the e398 and waiting to expand my collection of music phone with this...this would be the phone not to be missed
