how much RAM will need to have for winmobile 7 ? 4 ex: if you have 288 MB RAM, it will work on 288 MB RAM Phone ?? plzz some1 tell me !

No customization?!?!?
Seriously...
The beauty of WM is the freedom to customize.
Taking it away is not a smart thing to do.
I've been a strong supporter of WM since it was PPC2002 OS. Well...
without customization I rather go with Android. It seems that it has more potential.

looks all nice and what, but as always, we won't know how user-friendly it is until we get to the back end of the UI. changing settings, advanced menus, the lot. show me a video of the settings menu, then i might be convinced. til then, it's all eye-candy and no carbs.

i can see this being a complete nightmare. the palm pre was bad enough trying to collect all this info in one place through the os, and it fails miserably - well done windows for bringin out another fail. i only feel for customer service adivsors in call centres that will need to deal with the problems that this is going to cause

Bravo Microsoft, very cool phone, cant wait to see the real phone, cant wait to see whats other application look like, eg application manager, sms, calendar, etc......I like windows 7 and now windows phone 7??? Love it....

I think that Microsoft will probably use its own Silverlight instead of Adobe Flash.

now to be honest... I never liked the UI concept of the IPhone...and all those copies. I'm still using with high efficiency nokia series40 platform (nokia 6233)and having an win mobile 6.1 deviece...I'm extremly happy beating lots of new phones being slow and still not having all my features (diverse movie formats, subtitles recording videos with vga at this priceing)...back to the new win 7mo.... why does it have to go so IPhone?... everything that was about windows...is sad by its name..and it worked perfectly. People not being able to acces a options menu to customize they're phone... all these new phones looke, feel and sound like the idiocracy movie...

Ok, so finally i'll post a comment.
Now i see several things:
1. It is obvious why rumored tech requirements for win mobile 7 were like GHz processor and load of RAM(like half GB).
2. Microsoft trying to catch up and copy Apple OS with great persistence since 1985. Moving from desktop to mobile platforms just calls my smile.
3. I remember the days (not long time go) when "business smartphone" was equal to winmo platform. It is true that last year WinMo lost significant market share, but "abandoning ship" is unexplicable "runaway" from MS. Having that the remaining gap could not be filled in with blackberries. Or MS is scared by Nokia "E"s powered by symbian??
4. Assuming all major vendors have their own platform (Nokia-Symbian, motorola loves since recently android, Smasung growing up their Bada, Apple & BB - well no comment here) I see no market for Windows mobile 7. Special note about HTC - they have Android and Brew and most importantly - Sense UI, the latter obviusly not compatible with win7.
However competition is good. I hope win will live(though i doubt it in it's future form). At least win 6.5 will. :-)

I think people are confused and are sounding really uneducated. MS have not locked down this system, it is no different really to 6.5 though hopefully far more efficient. What Microsoft has finally done is made it's own effective UI, so Samsung and HTC can't butcher it and everyone is on the same playing field. There will be no more garbage handsets either as it will only be sold on more powerful handsets. I'm an iPhone user, it has the best UI and OS, but the media and contacts interface surpass the iPhone's and it's great, cause I personally think Android is very unstable. I hope Microsoft have opted out of flash, as it is garbage and it's about time the internet moved forward and became universally written in HTML 5, saying goodbye to plug ins and crashes. Apple, Google and Microsoft all pushing for HTML 5 might just be enough to make Adobe nervous.

personally, i dont really like the interface. but i must say that we can clearly see the difference between 6.5 and 7. 6.5 looks more professional whereas 7 looks kinda weird lol

The phone design of this video looks so nice, the screen maximized the front of the phone. I hope HTC will design something like this, squarish and macho looks.
But sad to say, MS just reacted to the current situation. Even if they released this OS, it is too late already, iPhone and Android OS are already dominating and squaring of in the market and MS Mobile OS is known to be slow, always lag and unreliable, this new MS OS must be almost perfect that will blow everyone's mind or it will just die and all effort will just be wasted. :(
Come on you are Microsoft, you should have initiated this competition not just react to it...

Sorry but this is very poor. If I wanted an iPhone like interface and experience I would buy an iPhone (I did, it sucked, I gave it to the wife). What MS has seen is the money being made by Apple with the locked down system and they want to copy that.
They won't succeed because MS users are not the same as Mac users. MS users sacrifice looks for features and flexibility. They've taken all that away and made it look shiny but crap. True power users will shy away if they do that. MS doesn't do cute, so don't start that crap.
