I had hope in Windows Phone OS, but I lost it when I heard that they dropped the 'Project Astoria' (For bringing Apps from Android Store to Windows Phone OS). Hope MS have something in mind and it better be good. A simple app like IMO or Phone Scheduler is not the Windows Phone Store. Still keeping my fingers crossed. I have Lumia 535 with me like others for which MS have not yet found a solution for the keyboard touch issue.

poor app quality andlack of apps will kill it. Nail to coffin will be little features which set apart a great os apart from good os, like my L1020 dont have any way to set alarm and switch off the phone.( i really wish that i could turn off my phone at night and alarm works in morning) Seems like it will always remain behind other os. Looking forward to Priv.

Microsoft should also consider Nokia's most dominating feature phones platform s40 devices. I think it will be helpful in gaining some lower or middle customer segments.

Now Windows phones are great price/quality. But the lack of newer apps are driving customers to buy Android for that price.

I really hope for Microsoft to become an actual mobile competitor, but for now there don't seem to be any signs for it.
The whole "it has to be iOS or Android" is not good for the market, we need more competition and I doubt we'll see it from BlackBerry (the rest are not even worth mentioning)

This is bound to happen as many apps (apart from the famous ones) are not available on windows phone. Developers dont focus on windows platform much. For eg: Whatsapp bug that shows read messages in notification still persists. Also, if you rely mainly on google services, then android is the best option. I have lumia 640 that is lying around idle due to these issues. Bought Redmi 2 prime and happy with it. I just hope Windows 10 changes the situation.

just like Microsoft allows HP, Dell to re-sell surface tablets
they should lease the brand Lumia to other OEMs like how Google does with Nexus
IMO,
Lumia should be Phones and not a Phablet or Tablet
Surface should be Phablets and Hybrids and not a Phone

The main thing is that, no doubt the phone made by Microsoft is of good quality but the pricing compared to specs of their product and other company is very high. Most of the Microsoft phones came in midrange was of Snapdragon 200 below par specs.
And then you wish to compete with the world with monsters in the market.
Microsoft and windows phone manufacturer always Advocated that windows phone dont need big processor and ram, I agree but then WHY the price of such low end specs phone is so high. The downfall of Microsoft will always be the pricing when it comes to specification.
Grow up Microsoft if u will keep pushing garbage to Indian people U will have to slash more employees as u r doing right now.
Microsoft One India is big enough compared to many many countries in Europe and America.
The amount of revenue generated from India is very very High.
So Give Indians the value of their money or..
more set beg to happen

They just don't react quickly enough, are either too slow or too grey to innovate & obsessed with pushing an non-personiseable, under-developed, under-supported, bland fixed font OS on ugly childish samey-looking devices.
The result is an app-less eco-system of characterless brick phones that clearly aren't selling well.
They had the perfect opportunity to incorporate their existing desktop into a compatible mobile platform years ago and they're still promising it's release 'sometime soon' even now! How difficult can it be?!
I feel for their staff and workers - I really do.
Who choose their new CEO and why does he still have a job?!
